Which LightBoost monitor is this?

Post by Discorz » 07 May 2021, 07:31

Quick question. Which monitor was this in old Blur Busters articles? I couldn't find any info on it.
Pursuits taken by Mark, chief himself.

and this one (is it same one?)

And does anyone have some good quality ufo pursuit shots of CRT monitor?
I could only find these two:

Looks like his old VG248QE or VG278HE or something, judging from the per line overdrive.

It was taken on an old ASUS VG278H purchased in 2012.

NVIDIA 3D Vision did way better LCD GtG engineering than a lot of budget blur reduction modes in some models a decade later. The loss of 3D and the less importance of keeping 3D crosstalk free, and the reduced budgets of monitor engineering, has meant that few strobe backlights beat LightBoost in its near zero-crosstalk nature.
