Bugged UFO ghosting test speed at 390Hz

Post by Discorz » 05 Jul 2021, 16:16

Hi Chief,

Users have reported bugged ufo speed at 390Hz (Acer XV252QF).

In the ufo test the standard 960 pixel per second speed is bugged on 390 HZ.... it apears slower moving...
so its unfair to compare this against other 360hz monitors...

but on 1080 pixel per second the ufo moves about the same speed on 390 hz vs 960pixel on 360hz

Yeah, that's what was happening when I changed the pixel count.. different scroll speeds. (PG259QN @360Hz)

960 ufo test bug (390Hz) is correct

Videos were taken at 960 390Hz, slower than 960 360Hz.
Hopefully something can be done about this.

EDIT:
Just found out this isn't necessarily a bug. Could be due to integer or non-integer speeds at different refresh rates.

Yesterday my 390Hz (Acer XV252QF) arrived.
Not sure if should test the VRB on 960 pixel per second or 1920
On 960 VRB is exaclty the same as on normal and extreme. On 1920 extreme wins: On normal the ufo windows are blurred.

What gives the best representation of a fast paced fps like quake champions, apex, valorant pubg? 960 pixel per second or 1920 pixel per second?
| Now: ASUS PG248QP 540Hz. | Past : VG259QM with the Qisda panel/PG27AQN/XL2566K

It depends on your playing tactics -- do you scope-track or eye-track moving objects / while panning fast / etc?
Sometimes 1920 pixels per second is more realistic than 960 pixels per second.
