Question Which one of these two monitors should I go for ?

Post by l3gi0n » 07 Nov 2024, 15:56

I am looking at these two monitors:

LG 32GP750-B: https://www.lg.com/ca_en/monitors/gaming/32gp750-b/
- IPS
- 32"
- 2K
- 8-bit+FRC
- 1000:1
- G-sync
- Has a USB service port so the firmware can be upgraded.

Gigabyte GS32Q: https://www.gigabyte.com/Monitor/GS32Q#kf
- IPS
- 32"
- 2K
- 8bit+FRC
- 1200:1
- G-sync
- Doesn't have a USB port, so the firmware cannot be upgraded?

Technically the GS32Q is better because of the higher contrast ratio, but it doesn't have a USB port for firmware upgrades which makes me wanna go with the LG.

what are your thoughts on this?

Both of those monitors are trash, the only decent one is the GP850 which has a light matte coating and it was $220 last week but even then it has horrid IPS glow

^ I bought this one it's on backorder introductory priced sale for only $600 it's superior glossy coating and full ultrawide QD-OLED and no nasty LCD ghosting or contrast and IPS glow

I am done with all these nasty LCD monitors they are all trash even the ones with Mini Led all trash.

Also almost all QD-OLED has this amazing glossy coating which makes the images pop no nasty Vaseline oily mix with dog shit smeared across the screen aka matte coating.

I just realized from reading a press release by Applied materials that manufactures actually have a 4th quality they astribe for.
"manufacturing approach improve all types of OLED displays, making them even brighter, clearer, more energy-efficient and longer-lasting"
What if all this time we have thought it was a glossy vs matte thing when in reality it has been a low quality glass vs high quality glass in the first place? I plan on making a most later on in the tech discussion. Maybe chief knows someone who works in the manufacturing glass aspect that can explain how to measure this quantifiably.

Well evelynn. Lile the guy above said.
Maybe it's worthwhile just going for a 27 inch $140 Fast IPS display. Well you should probably try 32 inches if you've never done so. 32 inch 4k displays have gone below $500 this week by the way. Worth considering
