Newer XL Monitor Airflow Design

Post by oxa » 17 Jan 2025, 14:29

I just talked to someone who has an XL2411K who has had the same issue as me for 12 months.

I can smell a slight burning at the top of the monitor, is this normal for the newer generation Zowie XL monitors? I have bought the XL2546K used and that slight smokey smell I assume is due to the way this monitor deals with cooling. I've read that it draws air in from the bottom to cool and out from the top, hence the smell.

Anyone here who has an XL2546K, XL2566K that can also confirm this?
