Xl2568X+
Just got my XL2586X+ yesterday. It's my first TN panel in like 15 years and my first ever esport orentated display. I am a bit dissapointed how dimm the screen is with Dyac2 premium enabled.
I am using this against a Asus 480Hz Oled 27" as i own already, and even the OLED looks alot brighter.
Is this normal for a TN panel with dyac to look so dimm? Maybe I just need to get use to it?
Secondly, since I only play PUBG, I can only achieve between 250-450fps most of the time @ 1728x1080. The 14900k and 4090 cannot push to 600fps. Does this mean dyac will be no benefit to me?

Dyac should always work. On my xl2586x the screen is just as bright with dyac on then off unlike the PG248QP. is there a difference on the +version? Do you put brightness on 100 in the pubg menu? do u use gamma 1 and max dark equalizer in the zowie menu? rgb 0-255.Grasshopper85 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2025, 20:55Just got my XL2586X+ yesterday. OLED is kinda like a sunbed but to say its way brighter then a zowie? I would not say that. the monitor with dyac2 on should be brighter then the PG248QP with ULMB2 on. thats 1 thing that has to be sure. ( if i am not mistaken u had a pg248qp)
Also check out tgtln zowie settings video
https://youtu.be/0wpokGq-KbM?si=MNWKhz2T3WQzYR29 the high constrast and color vibrance boosts the brightness also.
Can you please check for me how the frame skipping test goes? My xl2586x has trouble holding 538 hz on my 5090.. It stutters every arround 10 secs. Does your monitor just remains 100% stable at 600hz?

Re: Xl2568X+
Does the monitor have settings to tweak Dyac2? If it has a setting for pulse width, change that. Maybe it's named differently if it has it. Basically it's like a slider to choose between motion blur reduction strength and brightness.Grasshopper85 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2025, 20:55Just got my XL2586X+ yesterday. Hey my apologies. The dimming and super dark screen was due to gamma being set to 4 and black eq to mid-way 11, enabled by the damm PUBG V2 xl settings to share profile I downloaded and was using from the official zowie website. Why on earth did they force such a dark screen in this profile and state this is what the pro's use. No they don't, tgltn uses gamma 1 and black eq max, which I have just switched to after watching his video, and its a night and day difference. Now everything is bright and clear! Thank you!daviddave1 wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 05:35Dyac should always work. On my xl2586x the screen is just as bright with dyac on then off unlike the PG248QP. is there a difference on the +version? I will try the ufo test shortly and report back.
EDIT: Just checked the ufo test and i can 100% confirm I do not have and stuttering/freezing what so ever. I can see the 600hz ufo line extremely clearly. It almost looks like slow motion compared to the other lower refresh ufos.
I just wish i could maintain 600fps to have this sort of buttery'nes.

Yes I think it does have a slider to fine tune the dyac. I think its called AMA in the settings. I could be wrong, and that could be for something else. I am unsure.RealNC wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 06:30Does the monitor have settings to tweak Dyac2? If it has a setting for pulse width, change that. Maybe it's named differently if it has it. Re: Xl2568X+
I don't know if AMA changed phase or pulse width. Phase doesn't affect brightness, only crosstalk.Grasshopper85 wrote: ↑14 Mar 2025, 03:05Yes I think it does have a slider to fine tune the dyac. I wish monitor vendors wouldn't rename standard things like phase and pulse width to make them sound more "gamer." What the heck is AMA? "Ask Me Anything?"

No, AMA is for the overdrive setting.Grasshopper85 wrote: ↑14 Mar 2025, 03:05Yes I think it does have a slider to fine tune the dyac. I think its called AMA in the settings. If you wanna adjust pulse width (and phase) you've got to try and use BlurBusters Strobe Utility! (I haven't tried for this particular monitor, though, but I'm confident it should work)

Hey i tried the frameskipping link but i have no idea how to use or interpret it once it is open and running.daviddave1 wrote: ↑14 Mar 2025, 04:44I am sorry i shared the wrong url. can u please do the frameskipping test on https://www.testufo.com/frameskipping

It has some weird messages pop up on screen about stuttter detected. But I am unsure what the cause is from or what it means.
Is there a guide on how I am suppose to use or interpret that test?
