Hello!
I want to buy a new 1080p 24-25 inch gsync 240hz+ monitor. Which monitors have the best motion clarity without using any strobing? I was looking at the Acer Nitor XV252QF and the Asus Rog Strix XG259QNS. I will be using gsync for every game I play, and kinda stuck since I cant find a display that has "above avrage" unstrobed motion clarity. The budget is around 400 dollars, I live in Hungary.
Could someone recommend me displays with these parameters? Im fine with using a TN too.
Thanks!
Best unstrobed gsync 1080p monitor?

Motion clarity is mostly limited by the display's scan-out (refresh rate)dystopia11111 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025, 13:50I will be using gsync for every game I play, and kinda stuck since I cant find a display that has "above average" unstrobed motion clarity. If the content you are playing does not go >500FPS, any display is gonna be relatively blurry.
Only with impulse-based tech (CRT, LCD with ULMB/PureXP/DyAc) can net you great motion clarity (low persistence), regardless of frame rate you're driving.

Almost all IPS perform identical, but I would choose the ROG instead of the Acer due to better QC & very likely better internals.
In terms of overall pick, a TN is likely gonna be clearer due to better G2G response times.
The fall G2G response times on TN are much quicker than equivalent refresh rate IPS displays.
e.g.: XL2566K, XL2566X+, XV242F, AG246FK

Re: Best unstrobed gsync 1080p monitor?
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I understand that "very good" motion clarity is only achivable with strobing, but for me, I can't play without gsync. I dont know why, but without gsync + vsync every game is a mess. It seems like its on lower refresh rate regardless of my framerate, I have posted many questions over reddit and here, but I could not get any answers. I was just curios If i can buy a monitor that is a bit better in this regard.kyube wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 09:50Motion clarity is mostly limited by the display's scan-out (refresh rate)dystopia11111 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025, 13:50I will be using gsync for every game I play, and kinda stuck since I cant find a display that has "above average" unstrobed motion clarity. I would opt for the ASUS >360Hz IPS model then. ASUS' VRR implementations have been, historically, decent.dystopia11111 wrote: ↑15 Apr 2025, 19:36Thank you for your reply. Ideally, you'd get a G-Sync module display with a NVidia GPU or a Freesync Premium certified display with a AMD GPU, but this might not matter.
The ideal solution to your dilemma is purchasing the highest refresh rate (LCD) display within your budget.
Acer is usually a lower-QC (worse EMC) than other brands. ASUS ROG (TUF isn't same quality), MSI & others are better in this regard.
Zowie displays seem to be sub-optimal for VRR, as per:
