Ive come down to 2420z and 2720z but leaning more towards the 27 because of the v4 changes. Still reading how the V4 affects 2420z but seems it doesnt help as much.
Its a bit off topic at this point but am I reading this correctly, it says mg279q has worse colours except contrast but is slightly faster than pg278q. Can you explain how is this possible?

oh and I was also wondering while looking at this is there chance for 1920x1080 144hz ips to come out at some point?

To clarify the V4 AMA change on XL2720Z:
I Posted some pictures on how the XL2720Z, XL2420Z and XL2411Z (and probably XL2430T) look at DEFAULT AMA high on V4 firmware.
(this is setting MBR on when AMA is set to high before enabling blur reduction (MBR).
This was apparently added in V3 firmware on XL2720Z

The same "Toggles" exist on XL2420Z/11Z but it only lowers the overdrive amount by less than 5%....not even detectable on testufo alien invasion unless you're at 60hz. on xl2720Z it lowers ama high by about 50%...huge difference.

Ok I got some more questions again. So black bars work as if the monitor is in native resolution, right? Do they work as if you are in windowed mode with the rest of the pixels dead/showing black? Also does every monitor have black bars option, or are they activated with software or something? Asking because Im looking into pg278q and xb270hu. Also one thing I couldnt understand is if those two's blur reduction is working only on some video cards (like gsync) or does it work on everything ![Embarrassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

To add a different aspect here:
I personally care more about image quality than motion blur.
XL2420Z: 1080p 6-bit w/ FRC TN
XL2720Z: 1080p 6-bit w/ FRC TN
XL2730Z: 1440p 8-bit TN with FreeSync 40-144hz
MG279Q: 1440p 8-bit IPS with FreeSync 35-90hz

Yeah Ive figured that about the colours but thanks. Just bumping because I still got some unanswered questions

Sorry if they are stupid question, I try to read as much as I can so they are not but as I said Im not very familiar with the field.
