Monitor [how to connect XL211P to laptop and keep 144Hz?]

Post by luigiiscrube » 20 Jul 2018, 11:29

Hello, I want to ask if there is any way, that I can connect Benq XL2411P with HDMI to my Helios 300 PH315-51 laptop and be able to reach 144 Hz? Thanks for answers:)

Reference to the manual of this monitor

100,120,144hz only can run thru the Display port, or the DVI port

if you all ready have this monitor, give it a try by purchasing an Hdmi to DP, or Hdmi to DVI cable, but iam not sure if it well work or not.

No I do not have it recently. I am choosing between this and Viewsonic xg2402. But if it doesnt support hdmi 144hz, I am forced to buy Viewsonic XG2402. It is also a good and cheap choice I think. And thanks for the answer:)

Sometimes 144Hz can run from the HDMI -- via a HDMI-to-DVI cable -- this is often undocumented since it is not HDMI-organization standards compliant but HDMI is simply just a bitstream carrier capable of any Hz within the "bandwidth budget".

144Hz works from one of my BenQ HDMI -- But no guarantees on it working on XL2411P
