Either your monitor doesn't have a display scaler or your DP cable is faulty.

Also have u tried downloading the latest drivers for your monitor and nvidia?

I also have an rtx 2070 and i measured the latency of gpu scaling and display scaling and there was no difference. I graphed out the latency via my custom made usb to oscilloscope/pC

For modern gpus like the rtx 2000 series, it shouldnt give that much additional input lag. I saw no difference and the numbers showed me no difference.

If all that doesn't work, maybe ur monitor just doesnt have a scaler. U could try CRU as your last resort

thanks for your input

i have tried 2 DP's :(

i would know if this monitor does not or it does ?! i kind remember i used to switch between GPU and display , but no more !

i have recent drive from https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/ROG-SW ... _Download/

so you were able to switch from GPU scaling to display scaling BEFORE, but not anymore, is that correct?

if so, then it's probably a driver update/incompatibility problem. If that were me, i would just uninstall invidia control panel and reinstall every thing including the most up to date drivers and firmware updates. Some updates via nvidia does have oversite.

are you sure it's not the DP cable? sometimes yanking on it will reduce its integrity and youa ren't able to select certain feautures if 1 or 2 pins are missing. If i were you, i would go to nvidia geforce experience and download the latest drivers. if that doesnt' work, unsintall everything and reinstall nvidia control panel again. That should work. If not, try getting a DP cable> Believe it or not, most DP cables are usually faulty from my experience. one example is when i had the xg279q, the DP cable it came with caused a crapload of flicker but i replaced the DP came and there was no longer flicker. And another time, the DP cable that came with my MSI MAG251rx wasn't able to get 10 bit colord depth, but i replaced it and i was able to get 10 bit color depth.

I'm fairly certain its either an nvidia firmware/update oversite or its your DP cable.

if you've tried EVERYTHING, then unfortunately your monitor doesnt' have a scaler, but then again YOU SAID you were able to switch from GPU to Display scaling.

Lastly, try using the OSD controls on your monitor. See if you can put it in an aspect ratio where it matches the nvidia control panel. Maybe that will get the DISPLAY scaling feature to pop up instead of GPU scaling.

Gsync display dont have a scaler thats why u dont see it in nvidia panel u can use driver 344.11 to get display option but its not work for newer cards like rtx 1080 etc

After create custom 1920x1080 * 240 in nvcp. Will it work or not 50 to 50.
I often do not clearly state my thoughts. google translate is far from perfect. And in addition to the translator, I myself am mistaken. Do not take me seriously.

Even with monitor scaling selected on nvidia control panel it still uses gpu scaling when u select a lower resolution.
