Alienware AW2521H 360hz Arrives!
Re: Alienware AW2521H 360hz Arrives!
I see what you mean. When I tested the Asus I did find the image lacking vibrant colours and looked almost washed out. The image did however look very accurate when I compared it to the 2546K. I think a lot of people have expressed similar concerns on reddit/forums.

Have you tried using the reflex latency analyzer yet? I just got one too and cant seem to get the geforce experience overlay to cooperate and show the latency numbers. Reinstalled drivers, tried like 6 different mice now, all with no luck. It seems to be working I just think the overlay isnt cooperating, there isnt much out there yet as far as user experience goes, just put a ticket into NVIDIA CS.

Review is out, looks like only the Fast OD setting is usable, just like the Asus, and looks like it has a bit less corona

Re: Alienware AW2521H 360hz Arrives!
There are a bug in the name of two strobing captures of XL2546K, show AMA Premium DyAc+ Off, and is AMA Off DyAc+ Premium
360FPS/Hz without overdrive seems the best, no added strobing lag and crosstalk, no overdrive artifacts, short motion blur trail. But maintain 360FPS sustained is a CPU challenge, so VRR is mandatory to avoid tearing.
I wonder if with GSync cap ~356 (to avoid 360 VSync lag), GSync dinamic overdrive do a good job, and not show overdrive artifacts in all range 48-360, only more trail.
Strobing also capped to 144 and 240 only, like Asus PG259QN ?

I saw the review above and I cringe every time he speaks about himself.
"Essentially, what you should know is that I'm really good". WHO SAYS THAT!
And once again, Shroud is also really good but doesn't know much about monitors. In terms of settings, I actually found "fastest" to be the best setting (better than fast). It's one step below "extreme" which does introduce issues.
The monitor is excellent thus far and has been rock solid.

I answer myself about strobing doubt:

Sadly, like ASUS PG259QN/QNR, also capped ULMB to two frequencies, 144 and 240Hz only. Definitely these monitors are not for me, i hate motion blur, and strobing can't be adapted to all sources framerates.
Seems is NVidia GSync module the cause of capping ULMB, and ASUS / Dell are not responsible, very dissapointed.
Waiting 360Hz VESA Adaptive Sync with BlurBusters Approved and unlocked range. My current reference of IPS is Viewsonic XG270 with 75-240 single strobe range, very good versatility. I can't understand why Nvidia cap ULMB, they are losing sales. I think these IPS 360Hz monitors have enought scanout and response time to show fullscreen crosstalk free from 48 to 100Hz, perfect for motion blur free of classic contents framerate capped in betwhen this range.
What a waste, they are fast and good, but could have been much better for remove motion blur.

Re: Alienware AW2521H 360hz Arrives!
i've cancelled my order because there is way too much asymmetrical blur at 360hz refresh.
at 240hz, the regular alienware aw2521hf has WAY LESS asymmetrical blur.
basically it's inferior to the regular aw2521hfl. Also, variable overdrive on the aw2521h is inferior becauase the aw2521hfl has variable overdrive range of 85-240.
honestly, i don't really think the 360hz alienware has variable overdrive given the fact that it's poorly tuned. The asymmetrical blur is unacceptable. Look at Bijan's UFO tests

The amount of silvers watching youtube videos is astonishing. The dude is way waaay above average. Id rather trust him than anyone else. If a silver reviewed the monitor i couldnt care less about his her opinion. I hope Bijan get the right tools for reviewing. The way he talks about how good he is adds a bit to his character. I dislike spineless beta people.

I got one too
Can I get some on monitor settings for best color and ICC for it?

Agree completely. His sense of humor is entertaining and its good hearing from a competitive player.Conan wrote: ↑19 Nov 2020, 16:21ericl wrote: ↑16 Nov 2020, 19:41I saw the review above and I cringe every time he speaks about himself.
