Still problems with vg279qm and strange feeling.

Hello.
I know what I'm about to ask may be weird.
We're not going to say I'm a super warzone player.
But when changing the monitor from a 240hz xg258 to the vg279qm, I do not point the same.
The mouse is the same an ultimate viper.
I also have a feeling of loss inside the screen, I do not know if it is a matter of adaptation to the size, or I was wrong and should have bought a 1440p.
I do not find the targets as quickly as in the previous monitor, it is more they kill me and I do not see who it was and if I look at his death chamber and he was there in front.
I can't decide whether to use 60 or 80 overdrive. in both of them I find strange sensations I am not going to say dizziness but if I do not find that my eyes feel with a clear field.

I have the option of asking for another monitor, but I'm afraid this is not the issue.
I was thinking about the odyssey g7 or some other 1440p, but I don't know if it will solve this.
What do they tell me? it's just a matter of time ? I buy the new 1440p monitor.
Thank you and forgive my madness.

P.S. I'm sorry, my English, I use a translator

It could be a size thing. How much difference are we talking? Very small, big?
I wouldn't recommend odyssey monitors because of its extreme curve and weird response times and input lag. Higher resolution requires higher sensitivity to match lower res. So you might find playing on G7 even weirder.
One thing you can try is push your monitor further away on your desk. Make sure you don't have some type of mouse acceleration enabled, in-game or in windows.

Hello
I have all the same settings.
I use low sensitivity, 800 dpi on the mouse and 3 in the game.
the 360 ° are like 65 cm
The difference is quite in the subject of aim.
And quite a bit in the effort of looking at the screen to find the targets.
Now I'm testing with less overdrive to see if it improves something, I was using it at 60, I just set it to 40.
I go out to train and when I come back I try this setting.

Yesterday I put the TN back on and I keep hitting much better.
I have it quite far from the monitor exactly 90cm
I do not know or I am not clear what it can be.
Many times I think it is something between the mouse and the monitor, I have them centered and they kill me the same before, which does not happen with the xg258.

Have you tried hdmi out? it might be placebo, but it felt more responsive to me. I recently changed from this monitor to 27GP850-B and my aim increased significantly, not sure if it's cause of 1440p or faster response time or what.

In my testing HDMI was consistently slower in terms of input lag, but just slightly slower, about 1-2ms difference. Interestingly hidden OD 120 was also slower.
Do you still have the VG279QM?

I still have it. I wouldn't put that much thought into human benchmark for measuring input lag imo he should still try it out. I'm just speaking from my own personal experience with it no solid proof or anything.

I doubt that 27GP850 has better input lag than VG279QM, it does have slightly faster response times due to better OD tuning, but still the difference is also very small. It could be a higher resolution/better pixel density thing. I should try 1440p high refresh rate monitor sometime in the future.

You're prob right it's not the input lag but the response time. I've been using the 'faster' mode which is very playable and good. 1440p is nice in games for sure. I had to adjust windows scaling or else everything is too small for my taste. RTINGS is reviewing the LG 27GP83B-B which should pretty much be the same monitor, I'm curious to see their results.

I could not say what it is, but it is clear that there is a difference in that I do not know, but yesterday I did several tests and with the sniper I failed between 15 or 20% more, in all the tests I did, my son passes the same and that which he uses control.
What it is, I don't know, but hey, I'll give you one more week of adaptation, if not I'll go for a 1440 to test
Or I'll have to go back to the smaller monitors.
Now also a thousand doubts in those of 1440, rtings says that the odyseey g7 is the best for games, but I am not very sure from things that are read in the forums.

Maybe different processing lag between different firmware versions? measurements are only available for the earliest versions.
