I got one earlier this week and have been messing with it. At 60hz I get like no crosstalk for the whole panel after increasing the vertical totals, I'm very happy with it. My Samsung Q90T also supports 60hz strobing but it's got ghosting, this ViewSonic looks better. I took pictures to compare but had trouble uploading them.
I'm curious if using HDMI instead of displayport makes a difference and what the highest refresh rate I can run at without a lot of crosstalk. Also, is there a way to save the strobe utility custom settings for different refresh rates?

Due to new user forum filter — a new user’s first 3 posts blocks photos but after your 3rd post you can post pictures —
For now, use imgur and replace periods (“.com”) into spaces. That will allow you to kinda share images a bit early.

How easy was the Strobe Utility instructions at www.blurbusters.com/xg2431 ?
Yes, it’s one of the best 60Hz single-strobe LCDs on the market with zero crosstalk for the 60Hz VT4500 QFT mode.
The recommended 60Hz VT supported is approximately 4500 at 60Hz, you simply quadruple the existing VT1125 that 60Hz uses. What vertical total are you using?
Not yet, but planned are saveable/loadable profiles in Strobe Utility that gets automatically recalled for a memorized Hz+VT combo.
P.S. I may add semi-automatic strobe tuning too (internally, it’s just a simple cuve-fitting algebra formula computed by quadratic regression, via Y = ax^2 + bx + c) to automatically tune ideal strobe phase for any VT, any Hz. I plotted it all on an Excel graph (in 10Hz increments) and a curve-fitting formula works well for autocompute of OD GAIN and autocompute of Strobe Phase, given inputs of pulse width + current VT + current Hz. The aim is that future monitor firmwares will have strobe autotune for any Hz + any VT but I can also build strobe autotune into Strobe Utility. We’re already working strobe autotune capabilities because we veroficiously hate strobe presets (“strobe only supported at 85Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz”) and we’re discovering more and more ways to automatically tune strobe a little better and better as part of the Blur Busters Approved programme. This won’t help panel temperature or panel lottery effects but it will automate Large Vertical Total calibration, and improve any-Hz any-VT pre-calibration.

The highest vertical total I got at 60hz was 4380 anything higher got a blank screen using Nvidia control panel, but I can't imagine it looking any better. Would cru provide different results?

If someone could export the xg2431's cru profile and post the .bin here I could make some HIGH VT modes that match the native scan rate exactly. What I like to do is not use NVidia control panel, I just make bat files that switch cru profiles and reset the video driver.
You just have 1 resolution per cru profile windows and games will be forced to use that resolution, It's a great way to stop games from changing resolutions on you. also makes switching between 240hz and low hz modes really fast and only takes 1 click from a bat file.

Nope!alexander1986 wrote: ↑07 Aug 2021, 09:02did anyone with the monitor take any testufo vids/pics yet ?
I wanted to ask the same thing. Is anyone willing to test it?

I found the guide pretty easy to use. One weird thing, not sure if something just got very minorly broken during my install, but the UI for my app is a little off.Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑06 Aug 2021, 21:25How easy was the Strobe Utility instructions at www.blurbusters.com/xg2431 ?

Two items called "Strobe Pulse". They still adjust the expected parameters, but it doesn't 100% match the guide. As I ran through some tweaks, I also found combinations of settings that would reset the strobe pulse width to 100%. Adjusting width or phase by 1 value in either direction would "fix" it. Might be a small firmware issue?
This would be great! So far I've settled on taking screenshots of my custom settings at each refresh rate, but an automatic recall would be so much better.Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑06 Aug 2021, 21:25Not yet, but planned are saveable/loadable profiles in Strobe Utility that gets automatically recalled for a memorized Hz+VT combo.
I made some custom resolutions for 60hz, 75hz, 85hz, 120hz, and 144hz using the NVidia tool. These values may not transfer 1:1 to CRU, I'd say I put enough effort into all of them to say they're probably 95-98% optimal settings for QFT.

I don't have a suitable camera to do a pursuit test, or maybe I just don't know enough about how to use my phone's camera to avoid common shutter speed issues w/ flickering displays, otherwise I would.
