One of the main issues I have found is that the backlight strobing (TVR) changes to OFF any time you restart your PC. This is incredibly annoying and I could not even find a way to check for a firmware update as there are minimal results when searching for the monitor and the aopen website just has broken links.

Someone reported not being able to get higher than 300Hz. viewtopic.php?p=69879#p69879
Possible flickering: https://youtu.be/bPn5avXjSoY
If u play at lower refresh rates with vrr you might find locked overdrive annoying since there might be some overshoot.
It makes no sense to use VRB Normal due to poor tuning - no motion blur improvement: https://youtu.be/O_ddND-QiTA?t=222. Not sure if it makes sense to use VRB at 390Hz high refresh rate at all.
Few things mentioned here: https://youtu.be/T0L8Cb2rgvg

Yes. Problem is solved though. It happened (stuck on300hz) after I did reset in osd. I don't know how I actually fixed it but it works. I played around with overclock etc, and as soon as I got 390hz back I never touched it again. And like others said, settings like vrb, are always off after reboot. Also maximum brightness option does not work correctly after reboot. I have to change brightness or contrast 1 level in order to regain max brightness.
Also the saving options are confusing. If I save my settings to a profile like action or racing, and stay on the profile, and afterwards I change some settings, like brightness vrb or vrr, it will switch back to user settings and then u have to resave it again to a profile instead of staying on the profile u were on (racing action etc).It is such a hassle tbh, and saving settings and memorizing settings is a absolutely a joke on this monitor.
Also if I switch from PC to ps5, it doesn't automatically switched to the preferred profile for HDMI or display port. I either have to manually readjust my settings or select the profile I want to use.
Can't wait for firmware update to solve osd issues.
Also if you are very competitive, and u rely on reaction time, or play hitscan games. Any technique like VRB or VRR will add noticeable input lag. It feels more responsive and snappier with this off and just use overdrive extreme.
Other than that it is the best monitor I have ever used and played on. I also use it for ps5 and it feels very snappy on 60hz and 120hz coldwar.

Hh. I managed to buy new AW2521H (360Hz) for $460 with shipping in my country. Good deal?
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
you could have bought this one
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Unfortunately this one won't be available in my country for few more months as it seems. And Aopen is US only. I meant to resell it anyways.
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Is there any quantitative data regarding the input delay difference using TVR? Trying to weigh the pros and cons of off/normal/extreme playing mainly rainbow six siege. Also, i do play on ps5 120hz and can’t seem to find settings that perform how i like. i have a 144hz that i switched to but picked up the acer for both platforms although 120hz performance does seem a bit off on the acer Any suggestions from those of you who play ps5 as well?

It really is a shame that all of the major “reviewers” who make millions on YouTube reviewing things fail to include even the most basic objective measurements in their “reviews.” Hopefully there will be some soon. If not, I might just order one to try out myself. Unfortunately, I don’t have the tools to test that. Alas, the cycle continues.
