How long will it take before it goes public? I'm kinda tempted to spend $10 because I want to see it but also just to support them, their work is really good
edit: nvm - says "a few days" before public on the review
Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
I dont think theres any specific cable thats rated for 390hz or more, atleast the ones ive seen all only say like 4k 120hz, 1080p 240hz. But everyone kept saying get one of the vesa certified and itll do the trick, but crazy enough the vesa one gave the most trouble. At one point when the screen was supposed to load a different scene in lost ark it did something weird and made the whole screen greyish white with black specs around the edges. I think its called a burn in? Ive never seen that before on a monitor and was so confused. Turning it on n off fixed it but at the end of the day its just weird that its fine at 360hz, but massive issues at 390hz. Its only 30hz difference. I have a xg2431 on the way tomorrow and i have an rma open for microcenter for the acer aopen, i hope they cover the shipping cuz i literally tried everything i could to deal with it before reaching this decision.

For flickering issues you can also try this which seemed to solve the issue for some people: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqnGeEQJQdc.

I just dont think these caliber of techs should need "tricks" to fix things. It's only gonna cause more hassles down the road when i want to upgrade to something better and need to sell what i have. 360hz is problem free, but 390hz is nothing but problems. Which to me is not intended so its defective.

Of course, hope they release firmware updates for these issues. I have opened a ticket to Acer regarding this so we will see how it goes.zhero wrote: ↑20 Feb 2022, 14:08I just dont think these caliber of techs should need "tricks" to fix things. Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
yeah it comes down to whether tn and ips tech are eventually on equal terms as far as "how far can this panel, whatever category/discipline it runs on/belong to, push the refresh frequency AND the brightness pulsing"GeenBijn wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 05:48I noticed that when someone writes something negative about the Acer Nitro XV252qf it is mostly about the low brightness. Now I get that 240 nits is not the brightest, but most of the time these people first had a Benq, which is much brighter with DyAc. I game comfortably on 200 nits and this gives me the impression that it is just a matter of getting used to a lower brightness, or does a higher brightness actually give you an advantage.

i dunno guys 50% times i get a bit of flicker and lag when i switch on HDR, 50% it's instantly. regardless of if I already had potplayer on or not. honestly never had anything else. first batch/first owner/first reviewer in the world again btw. week 4 2021.

Needs to save TRV = On, after reboot, or cold start.

I noticed you have the Acer Nitro XV252QF & ViewSonic XG2431. Which monitor are you liking better for games like PUBG, CSGO, Valorant etc ?CortexFPS wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 16:49you were really unlucky, i had four perfect onesVipa wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 08:18To do a little update. Receive a XL2546K -> 3 bright dots.
Ordered a new one -> a big scratch on screen at unboxing.
6 XL2546K (4 on amazon, 2 directly on BenQ Shop) I tried and NO FUCKI*** ONE is flawless, that’s such a shame for BenQ.
I am completely bored about that company with actually no QC.
I might end on the Acer because I can’t spend thousands of euros to get a flawless one. The monitor is perfect to me but I can’t stand too many defects.
I feel so bored.

Is it possible to control the ovedrive with this monitor when strobing?
