I have the Dell S2522HG but id like to upgrade to one of these or maybe the AOC 24G2ZU.
Is there any reviews about then with response times ELMB etc?
XG259CM vs XG249CM, any proper reviews?
Re: XG259CM vs XG249CM, any proper reviews?
Not much info on these two but they're probably treated like smaller XG27AQM with few improvements here and there.
Response time wise definitely not worth the upgrade from S2522HG. Feature wise maybe. Depends on what u really need and price. Don't know US situaton but here in EU these are way overpriced.
XG259CM uses LG LM245WF9-SSA3 panel (which is same as your S2522HG according to this post). XG249CM is probably BOE MV238FHM-NG2 (btw can anyone confirm?).

The XG249CM cost 350£ here in the UK, but im interested to know if the colour accuracy is better and black light strobing..

For ELMB (FreeSync OFF) expect average crosstalk in middle, standardly bad top and bottom thirds of the screen. Additionally you can adjust Clarity Position (pulse phase) and Clarity Level (pulse width).
For ELMB-SYNC (FreeSync ON) I believe you'll get worse crosstalk with locked clarity and position features. Note that all current VRR + strobing implementations are bad for low frame rate and only acceptable for high.
Also Asus is known to lock to aggressive overdrive level when strobing is enabled. But looks like they didn't screw it up this time, at least at max refresh rate - https://youtu.be/nXEVp_SLBso?t=467
Idk about color accuracy, but gamut is wide.
