Im Planning to get this display but I only reach between 230-365fps
Is it possible to put screen on 240hz or 280hz till I upgrade my pc ?

More refresh rate is still better because:
(A) Always get more Hz than you need.
(B) If you love GSYNC or FreeSync, you want a VRR range bigger than your framerate range = esports quality VRR. Forget capping!
(C) Latency of 100fps is lower at 240Hz than at 144Hz. Faster frame delivery from GPU to monitor = 240Hz = 1/240sec
(D) You'll benefit from other games and other apps, e.g. 4x less motion blur during browser scrolling at 240Hz vs 60Hz
The outdated recommendations of getting less refresh rate because you can't support the frame rates, kind of needs to die, IMHO.
That being said, get what the reviewers say is good and all -- sometimes an inferior 360Hz panel can be worse than a superior 240Hz panel. So you have to give it a little fudge factor.

With g-sync/freesync its not so crucial but the freesync and even more g-sync itself causes slight input lag so its not a win-win scenario. But the game will not stutter so much when fps get below refresh rate. However its for a cost - for a cost that you are 0.x - 1 frame behind. As the game simply waits for whole frame rendered and doesnt draw the actual frame from upside down.
Without g-sync/freesync its a problem as the game starts stuttering whenever the fps count goes below refresh rate. The more the worse. Limiting fps doesnt work, the only positive is that the GPU/CPU wont be so hot and power demanding and it may increase slightly the performance because with less heat the CPU/GPU may boost more in critical moments when fps go below the limit.
And one more thing - asus monitors have usually SHIT stock display port cable in package. Bought and asus and i needed to buy expensive DP cable, the display was randomly turning off. It was caused by low quality display port cable. Even stock alienware cable (a bit better, with AW no issues, but for asus still a crap) wasnt enough, it was still turning off. With expensive cable it stopped at all.
