Large Vertical Totals should use the brand new automatic ToastyX Vertical Total Calculator feature instead, so you don't have to muck around the porches.

Now that being said, overclocked vertical totals (e.g. VT1500 at 120Hz) or the overclock hack (VT2000+), you will need to derive from a working overclocked Hz if you have one. Otherwise you have to experiment with existing published vertical totals in the existing BenQ Overclocking Thread -- some people have posted screenshots of overclocked vertical totals.

However, for plain ~VT1350 at 120Hz (for a 144Hz BenQ) it's a much simpler matter.

Now the XL2566K is a totally different animal, with minimal knowledge published yet about tweaks.

I personally cap at 370 for overwatch and consistent fps in-game. Never let the game fps drop below monitor refresh rate.

i have this monitor atm and for me best settings are AMA on 21, i dont notice any overshoot/ghosting in any game or even simple things like tracking scenarios, i was using 12,15,16 and decided to try higher even though all reviews say that 12/15 is best, they are all wrong, 18+ is when this monitor truly comes alive, test in actual games not in some artificial specialized scenario,in game is what matters, i highly suggest that you turn off Eco mode since its enabled by default, also DO NOT use backlight strobing even for 1 minute (at any settings) it causes insane levels of headache(irrelevant if you can feel/perceive it or not) and BFI is clearly visible for me and i can perceive it just as clear as frames, its so bad that when i went to bed and closed my eyes i was still strobing for good 30 minutes, also make sure to lower porches and sync as much as possible with CRU (and test positive/negative polarity instead of positive/positive this is what i use



also not sure how good DP/hdmi cables provided with monitors are, i highly suggest optical DP or HDMI (if you have AMD GPU then make sure to use DP and put voltage swing and pre emphasis to 2/2 on both). as to why you should listen to me, i'm rank 5 on aim400kg tracking hard scenario. proof:

Aim400kg.com is not good benchmark for overshoot in tracking scenarios. I used VG258QM with level 5 of od(which have 80% of overshoot kekw) and made 3500. Same with BFI, which blocks OD at some level. So I recommend you not to use this site as proof of monitor goodness. (I'm Saluki, Hello there.)

He hardly makes a direct comparison to the acer 390hz which tells me his review is probably paid by zowie.

Acer's 390hz is a 360hz IPS (he compared to a few of those - ones that use the same panel)
I can promise you it doesn't beat this panel's response time.
And I would eat my hat if it has BFI better than Zowie's, I have never seen a monitor that fits that description

As a matter of fact, 240hz TN from Zowie also beats all 360hz IPS monitors in response time and BFI.

Acer Nitro can beat xl2456k and definitely reach xl2566k in matter of response times, according to rtings tables. Zowie "TN" supremacy is just reason to pay 1.5x more for nothing, especially comparing to acer nitro xv252qf, which BFI at least doesn't doubling image as Dyac

There is no way that the XV252QF can reach the XL2566K in response times, RTings tables are just measuring 10-90% Rise/Fall which is not indicative of motion performance. Rtings results should never be taken too seriously (this also applies to their mice reviews, especially for their sensor latency results).

I agree about the XL2566K not being good value but my experience with strobing has been the opposite. Both monitors have no "double images" (strobing afterimages) when strobing at low speeds but when you try increase the speed to something like 1920px/sec you can immediately notice that the smearing that the Acer already has when running unstrobed at this speed results into double images when VRB is enabled because it takes way too much time for pixel transitions to recover from previous values.

This is incorrect. I tested both monitors side by side in games and the acer nitro had a noticeably blurrier image. You can look up all the tables and charts you want, the in game experience is very different if you have a keen eye.

How to use Quick Frame Transport (QFT) tweak on xl2566k via CRU 1.5.2
1) If you use custom resolution for this monitor (like extract reduced) you need to run reset-all.exe and restart64.exe for reset display resolutions (you need default res profile)
2) You need to remove all unnecessary resolutions, exept 1 detailed resolution (this 1080p60hz need to open Valorant or Fortnite games)
It is also necessary for standard xl2566k profiles such as (1024х768,1280x960) to work when using Display Scaling

3) Go to DisplayID --- Detailed Resolutions

4) Open 1920x1080 360hz profile
5) Click Copy and close it
6) Click Add...
7) Make Paste
8) Find Vertical Total Calculator in Timing section
9) Put in Refresh Rate what HZ you need (im take 240hz)

10) Click OK 4 times and start restart64.exe

its a decent enough benchmark that takes 5 seconds to get into, ofc its a browser game running in a browser thats made for reading new york times, if u read my posts i clearly state to test in actual games, and i didnt see any ghosting/bluring even on 20 OD, its all in the frames being above refresh rate constantly and actual frame timing of frames + turning off 300 different power saving features in GPUs( PLL of gpus can turn off and on under nanosecond)
