I don't understand, you're saying 240.000hz has a much smoother look than 239.973hz???
If you don't, you are using the PC non-native resolution and the GPU is doing your scaling. Therefore messing things up a bit.
but that isn't true.. it doesn't mess with anything actually. Chief said so too.

for OLED monitors, LG CX 48'' OLED TV works fine as a monitor apparently
Where can I read Chief talking about the native resolution?

Just got my replacement via Amazon today. So far so good
Do you guys use hdmi or displayport? Which input "feels" better
Wow that was quick ! Nice. Very glad to hear this one is a keeper. I use DP myself. I was under the impression if your running 240hz @ 2k you need DP.

RLSContender was saying if you use the HDMI cable in the box though and are at a lower hz (I forget exactly which) that you then got a option for 12bit color. Or something like that. But oddest thing, you need to use the HDMI cable that it came with or that doesn't work.
120hz @ non native scaling. Why only the supplied HDMI gets 12-bit remains a mystery to me. I hope someone with the technical knowledge can pry open the cable or something, perhaps there's some special stuff in it.

Oh, I didn't know that. According to a few here, it seems it was a efficiency issue or something of the sort. I didn't catch the Chief post saying otherwise. Hmmm, ok

Yea I did see that TV as well. But again, I'm looking for 32" max. And curved too ideally
this guy uses the oled as his monitor, but yeah it look huyuuuge

Guys, is there any way to change the crosshair overlay size? I would love to write with some support to edit the code inside the Gaming OSD app... the overlay of the crosshair is too big... I really loved more the Asus VG259QM overlay.. And since now with 120 OD the response time is even better due of that im thinking to move back to the ASUS, and RMA my MSI mag :?

Yea, that's exactly what I want, but in a 32" curved model. My desk/monitor setup puts me about 3ft from the monitor. And IMO thats too close for anything over 32". And I want 4k. The pixel density for that would be great for 3ft away. I'm not excited at the pixel density of 4k at 42" or more at 3ft viewing distance.

Anyway, I'm just blown away that they don't make smaller 4k OLED's. Like wtf ?

Dang. Thats the weirdest thing ever. I've had the same static image on the screen for hours at a time, never had a issue. Wow, I'm amazed this happened in such a short time. Furthermore, omg that retention in general is loud and bold ! Most bold IR I've ever seen. How high do you have your brightness ? IMO 99% of people use their monitors way too bright, in which could be culprit to image retention quicker. It is also why they see outrageous screen bloom and backlight bleed.

Best to calibrate it asap to as close to industry standards as you can with your own eyes/gear/etc.. (which is extremely warmer and darker than most people like it at first until you get used to it) then play with images.

Doesn't happen either to me with static images, only the ufo test, which is an animation

True ! Now that's just the strangest thing I ever heard. Interesting. Definitely never heard of that. Its always static images that have people most worrying about IR. Unbelievable.

Keep us posted.

BTW, did you exercise your pixels beforehand. I usually do at least 40+ hours of the color swatches on auto play to kinda break in the monitor before calibration. I wonder if doing something like that helps with this issue ?

Either way, I don't run the ufo test. So I wouldn't know. I'm not really that interested in it. They all look the same to me. lol I never see a difference. And at the end of the day, I'm more interested in what my content looks like anyway.

Yep, I can confirm the same thing (2nd pic) on my vg259qm. Seems like all AUO 240Hz IPS panels are affected by this plague. But I've never seen this in games or videos of any kind. A strange thing for sure.
