Hello everyone!
I am trying to find the differences between these two monitors:
Asus VG259Q Vs. Asus VG249Q, but I can't find much information about the 'VG249Q' model.
I was looking for an IPS monitor with a refresh rate of 144hz or higher, FHD of no more than 25" and with ELMB technology.
These monitors fit what I'm looking for but I don't know if it's worth the extra cost of the VG259QM model over the VG249Q model.
I'm trying not to exceed €300. If you think there is a better option, I'd appreciate it if you let me know.

Thank you very much.
Can you help me choose? ASUS VG259Q Vs. VG249Q
Re: Can you help me choose? ASUS VG259Q Vs. VG249Q
Can no one solve my doubts? Tomorrow they come to pick up my current monitor and I am going to be left without a monitor, please help me choose a good monitor for about €300
Re: Can you help me choose? ASUS VG259Q Vs. VG249Q
There must be cheaper and faster options such 24G2ZU / 24G2ZE, S2522HG. XV252Q Zbmiiprx (same 2019 panel as VG259QM...) is now $175 in my country.

Thanks for the reply!
Now VG249Q in Amazon is 220€
The monitors that you put have ELMB?

Only S2522HG doesn't.

Re: Can you help me choose? ASUS VG259Q Vs. VG249Q
The only monitor that is IPS out of all the ones you listed. For me, IPS has become essential. (XV252Q Zbmiiprx is 475€ in my country)
Right now I'm with a BenQ XL2411K and the colors are not bad but just by moving my head a little the colors vary a lot.
Between the Dell S2522HG, the Asus VG249Q and the Asus VG259Q, which one would you choose? I want it to be IPS but it also needs to have good motion blur reduction
Re: Can you help me choose? ASUS VG259Q Vs. VG249Q
These are all IPS. Unless you are extremely sensitive to motion blur I can't recommend TN.
Tbh 95% of monitors have poor blur reduction implementation (ELMB), whichever u buy won't be ideal. Also blur reduction has strict FPS=Hz rule so if u can't maintain very high (x2 refresh rate), capped framerates with flat frame times I can't recommend blur reduction. And according to your previous posts you are struggling with even 130 fps. XL2411K has best DyAc (ELMB) implementation out of all these so you might even be better off keeping it. Or consider upgrading PC for higher refresh rate blur reduction.

Well, 80% of the time I'm at 120fps in Apex Legends, while the rest of the time it hovers around 100-120 and never goes below 100.Discorz wrote: ↑15 May 2022, 06:38These are all IPS. Unless you are extremely sensitive to motion blur I can't recommend TN.

Right now I have a GTX 1060 6Gb but I want to update it... I don't feel like buying a new monitor in the future when I get the new graphics card at the end of the year. Although I may not get the most out of it now, I will in the near future.
The XL2411K has very little motion blur but I hate moving my head 1 inch and color shifting.
Of all the options you have written, the only one that has convinced me (that there is stock in Spain and at a good price) is 24G2ZE at 290€.
So, I think the options have been narrowed down to two:
AOC 24G2ZE = 290€
ASUS VG249Q = 218€
As a third option I could include the:
Asus VG258QM = 290€

EDIT: I just found the AOC G2 24G2ZU at €240 on another website

I don't know if for that price you can manage to remember another better monitor model, but I think these meet what I'm looking for.
You cannot imagine how much I appreciate what you are helping me. I'm already very dizzy from looking at monitors and reading all over the forum and the internet.
Thanks!!!!!
Re: Can you help me choose? ASUS VG259Q Vs. VG249Q
Great! Let us know if u like it.
At least you'll get a little less latency since its 240Hz and now u have adaptive sync unlike XL2411K. If u plan to use blur reduction consider reading guides on how to set it up and utilize properly. There are many here on BB forums. Its basically all about having large framerate headroom and capping the framerate with RTSS to avoid screen tears.
I think I've read somewhere that custom picture profiles on this monitor (Gamer 1, 2, 3) affect overdrive differently compared to standard profile. But I'm not sure if it was regarding this specific model. Can you check on that?
Note that this is not a wide color gamut monitor, its rather standard. It's a small upgrade over TN, but at least viewing angles are better.

The offer ended and I did not buy it. Now it is back to €320. So for now I'll wait...Discorz wrote: ↑15 May 2022, 09:07Great! Let us know if u like it.
