1440p Gaming Monitor Recommendations

Hey all, looking for recommendations for a 1440p gaming monitor. I am currently using a 1080p 240hz monitor(msi mag251rx). The main game that I play is Escape From Tarkov and I am thinking I may be able to see enemies better with a larger and higher resolution screen. I am also studying to be a programmer and it probably would be nice to have a 1440p for that as well. Anyways, as some of you might know, Escape from tarkov is a very poorly optimized game and cpu heavy so most of the time my game will sit around 90-100 fps with a rtx3080 and 10700k. I sometimes even get drops down to as low as 60fps on certain maps at certain times. That being said, I need a display that still looks okay when it drops to those low framerates. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to monitors so It is hard for me to pick one out that suits my needs. I looked at the gigabyte M27Q-X 240hz, but from what I saw from a review it wouldn't handle the low framerate too well. I am guessing a 165hz monitor would do the trick. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

1080p (1920x1080) = 2,073,600 pixels rendered
1440p (2560×1440) = 3,686,400 pixels rendered
That's a difference of 56%. Expect much slower frames by purchasing ANY 1440p monitor.

You should be able to upscale Tarkov to 1440p to see what kind of performance to expect from a 1440p monitor with native resolution. A 165Hz monitor will not play Tarkov or any game better than a 240Hz display if you expect under 165Hz. I would look at the other features besides how many Hz they have such as backlight strobing or something else.

I haven't done much research but I would probably pick the XG27AQM for a 27" 1440p display. The MAG274QRX has some interesting features as well to check out but I don't think any backlight strobing.

I have LG 34" 3440x1440p (144hz) IPS panel (with FreeSync) + RX 6800 XT + 10700k @ 4,9Ghz.

In Apex Legends I have locked my FPS to 137fps + FreeSync=On + Vsync=On, almost entire time I have constant framerate around 137, except in the dropship when it falls -10 fps or so.

The immersion is really a big part of the ultrawide (if You want to go this route). Especially in single player games like Witcher 3 or Horizon Zero Dawn.

I don't play EFT so I don't know about the performance there.

For programming this panel is excellent especially when combined with Tiling Window Manager like i3 (I am using Linux).

i recently tried the Acer XV272UX 27" 1440p 270hz. it seems to be a steal at 450€ (in germany atleast).
imo it has really good overdrive performance: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/U-0Sz1vgeKg
sadly its not for me as 27" is too big and i really can feel the processing lag of 1440p compared to 1080p.
