Major Stuttering In Games

I have a pretty unusual setup. I have a laptop that is connected to a eGPU which is connected to another monitor. I haven't had this issue before, but it suddenly occurred to me. Whenever I am in games or just using my computer in general, there would be noticeable stuttering. It makes most of these games almost unplayable. I have reinstalled drivers for my eGPU multiple times already. Through trial and error, I found that there would be no stuttering if I connected my laptop to the monitor without the eGPU. There would also be no stuttering if I connected the eGPU to just the laptop and not the other monitor. This has never happened before, and I am not sure why it is happening now.
