Gaming Monitor Recommendation

Post by striker333 » 08 Jun 2022, 14:41

I sold my g7 odyssey due to the curve and the color uniformity and bad viewing angles . I am using BenQ 2720z now and wanna upgrade to IPS panel I have almost three options the Gigabyte M27QX /LG 27gn850-b and the MSI MAG274QRF without the QD letters . the Lg and the MSI and even the G7 odyssey I had almost have the same price . The M27QX is more expensive by about 100$$ in my country so I want monitor for games like apex legends and watching movies . my main concern now is to get good panel without color shifting and bad uniformity with crisp image . I don't care more about 240hz and the fastest response time cuz I am not a competitive gamer and ill not be . I know people in this forum care about different monitors with almost no blur but I need a decent 1440p 27 display . My option is limited due to my country and prices . something like the PG279QM is too expensive here so I didn't list it . if any display is gonna be released soon with a good price range I can wait . so I am waiting your recommendation

I have used and will definitely recommend the Alienware 34 QD-OLED (AW3423DW), a true OLED best gaming monitor for the PC with the 1080p resolution support for a 25 inch screen.

The 34" OLED is fantastic if you can afford it, but it is way out of budget for many -- I'm not 100% sure the OP can currently afford the ferrari of display technologies.

Among 27" 1440p at a budget, I'd impartially recommend almost any of the post-2020 models (165Hz) that you can get affordably in your country. These are the new "Fast" IPS panels that has TN-competitive performance, while having wider color gamut (large portion of DCI P3). The post-2020 manufactured high-Hz IPS is a dramatic IPS performance improvement, that you should try to skip any pre-2020 high-Hz IPS, unless it's an incredible price (sale, or used, etc).

Do you consider the Asus TUF VG27AQ among these? It seems to have been released early 2019.
