Overshoot in testufo and in games.

Post by kogorta » 27 Sep 2022, 14:32

Hello
My second attempt to buy new ips monitor after aoc 24g2 topic, is LG 27gn600.
LG is much much better, at default(fast) overdrive settings(faster, fast, normal, off) i can't see any blur, everything is smooth and clear. But in testufo ghosting i can see a little bit overshoot, especially in middle background. If i choose normal overdrive , it gives more blur but removes overshoot. In games (overdrive:fast) i can not see any overshoot, everything is OK for me, (overdrive:normal) also no overshoot for me, but it adds a liitle bit more blur.
So my question is, it is necessary to completely remove overshoot, which i can only notice in tests , or leave it be at default settings, which gives clearer motion image and for me is not noticeable overhoot in games?

Overdrive presets are entirely for the benefit of the eyes using them; if "Fast" only exhibits overshoot for you in TestUFO, but doesn't for you in your games, use it, and if you see overshoot with "Fast" in other games, you can always lower it.
