Hello there.
I have an Alienware AW2518H (Gsync Monitor) with 240 hz. However i have shifted from desktop gamer to a gaming laptop user.
Due to my negligence in gsync research, my laptop does not contain mux switch and the nvidia graphic card in my laptop is only hdmi output (RTX 3050ti). If i use the display port to my laptop will only connect to the amd igpu.
I have tried out some competitive games like Rainbow Six Siege, Counter Strike and Dota 2. The games run fine at high fps without GSYNC.
But what my concern is how will my Triple AAA games behave if i can only reach 45 fps to 75 fps (high settings) WITHOUT GSYNC ? Will it looks blurry ? Choppy ? or even worst than a normal 60hz monitor ?
FYI : I am noob in monitor technology so if anyone ask me whether have i tried ? Yes i did and i cant see the difference greatly but i still want to know the exact information.
Lastly, i love this monitor very much but due to this issue i am thinking should i sell it off since TN technology will soon obsolete in the future.
I hope the Chief Blur Buster can help me in this.

At 240Hz, they will look better than 60Hz. But not as good as with gsync. There will some jitter. The higher the Hz of the monitor, the less jitter there is when FPS does not match Hz. Compared to 60Hz, 240Hz is much better.leetuanling wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 04:08But what my concern is how will my Triple AAA games behave if i can only reach 45 fps to 75 fps (high settings) WITHOUT GSYNC ? You can try this yourself by forcing 60Hz on your display and then switch back to 240Hz.

Hi RealNC, thanks for your prompt reply.
Do you mean that it really does not matter even if my fps is hovering around 75fps to 100 fps on 240hz WITHOUT GSYNC ON ?
Is it the only difference is that the smoothness is there with GSYNC ON ? On the other hand i will feel Jitter with GSYNC OFF ?
