Now you can edit BlurBustersStrobeUtility.ini to recognize regex Device ID "BNQ7FB?" (all video ports), in an edited copy and paste from Profile B to the next free INI file slot (next unused [Device##] at bottom). Then it will autodetect the XL2566K from now on.

1. Copy Profile B to a new [Device##] consecutively numbered after last [Device##]
2. Edit "DeviceID" to BNQ7FB? including the wildcard question mark in last digit.
3. Edit "Name" to XL2566K
4. XL2566K should be automatically detected on next launch

I should have a separately-downloadable INI file for all the XL2540-series and XL2560-series variants, since no upgrade to Strobe Utility is needed -- just an updated configuration file.

Also for stationary-camera smartphone photo, make sure smartphone shutter is at least 2x faster than refresh cycle. This minimizes chances of accidentally capturing two strobe into the same camera exposure.

Sometimes you have to download the ProCam or DSLRCamera app to do this, to force fast shutter speed.
Could use a HOWTO for taking more reliable photos on a smartphone. Or we already have one? So we could give links to people that are about to do tests.

Not possible unless the monitor has hardware support for strobing as well as the VESA MCCS 2.2 DDC/CI commands (a sidechannel, that began as an I2C wire on VGA and DVI, for plug-n-play purposes, but also to allow computers to control undocumented settings that don't show up in the monitor menus.

However, almost all XL-series BenQ monitors have these DDC commands, but they are always at different addresses. Which is why there is Profile A and Profile B for the most common BenQ.

I could probably automatically detect if it's a BenQ-branded monitor (device ID always prefixed "BNQ") and test for existence of either Profile A or Profile B. That would be semi-universal, and is being considered for a future version of BenQ Strobe Utility. But it will only work on BenQ XL-series.

I could not get the utility to work on the XL2546K. Do u HIGHLY recommend using it? Is the difference Huge? On the XL2566K there is already a AMA? slider build in would that not make the utility overkill?) The XL2566K will arrive at my house today. :)

For esports players who only play at max Hz + VSYNC OFF, usually not much benefit.

For emulator users and console-port game players (60-120fps caps), as well as people who want to use motion blur reduction at lower frame rates (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077 and other games), there can be bigger benefit If you also optimize the sync technology too at the same time.

More information about Strobe Utility benefits can be explained at:
www.blurbusters.com/strobe-utility (BenQ)
www.blurbusters.com/strobe-utility-viewsonic (ViewSonic).

The latter has new animations that explains the behaviors of a Strobe Utility better.

Here is a rough/simplified guide. No need for slowmo.

Anyone try 60hz strobing on this yet? :(
It's almost guaranteed to be 100Hz min-frequency strobe, but please let me know if anyone is able to pull off lower-Hz strobe.
It does seem like you are correct, according to this:

Perhaps there are some DDC/CI commands that are able to be used by the Blurbusters utility to adjust strobing? How would one look for these?

Why this look a bad??? My friend buy pre order 2566k,and look better than the picture
