I tried Apex, Overwatch and Warzone 2.

I got to the conclusion that I do indeed prefer the XL2546K with Dyac over the Omen X 25 but colors on the X25 aren't completely fcked like red/orange/magenta shades on the 2x XL2546K that I tested with multiple icc/icm profiles, there was no way to fix those colors.

There are moments when the X25 makes you hit shots that you would otherwise not hit with the XV252QF but there are also moments where the XV252QF outclass the X25. Maybe I've been too harsh with the Acer, going back to this panel after testing the Omen X25 wasn't as bad as I thought in terms of motion clarity and smoothness, all of this while having muuuch better colors.
What about spotting players in Warzone and Apex? With which one you feel its easier?(*between the Omen and the Zowie)

Definitely the Benq, Dyac makes a big difference + having a sharpness and saturation slider can massively help, especially since Warzone color scheme palette doesn't help visibility.

Be aware that you need to pull 240fps consistently in order to prevent double images at 240hz, which is hard to achieve even with my 5800x3d. This is one of the downsides of strobing.

In Apex spotting enemies is easy with both monitors and it's also easier to consistently get 240fps.

I think that Dyac is a killer feature for fps games, the only game where it wasn't game changing was probably Overwatch, maybe due to the high amount of verticality which ends up displaying the downsides of strobe crosstalk.

For someone who's not planning to use strobe, would you recommend to me the zowie(without Dyac) or the Omen? Or maybe you have different monitor to recommend instead. What's important to me is that the monitor will have good motion clarity without strobe.

I'd definitely recommend the Omen if you don't plan to use strobing, XN253QX is also one of the fastest TN if you can find it but both of these monitors are out of production.

S2522HG if you want the fastest 240hz IPS on the market, it's using the LG lm245wf9-ssa3 which is faster than every other 24.5"240hz IPS (+ wider gamut).

I also think that the XG2431 is good both strobed and unstrobed so definitely consider it if you live in a region where it's available.

I'm still wondering if I prefer it over the 2546K with Dyac, I can see that I play better with the Omen x 25 compared to the XV252QF(which was also the case for the BenQ) but I'm not sure that with the X25 I play better than with the XL2546K.

Seriously man? Are you more impressed with the clarity of the omen than the 390hz of the acer? Yesterday I was able to finally turn on 390 Hz on the monitor by loading the old drivers. And I was just amazed! This is madness! At 960, I can see the alien as clearly as I would with strobes on other monitors, but without crosstalk. Perhaps I don’t remember well what Omen and Zowie looked like, but I don’t remember such clarity. I look at tests 2566 k and also do not see such clarity. And the input lag seems to have become 2 times less, and the smoothness has increased, as if the frequency has increased significantly more than 30 Hz. This monitor is driving me crazy. He's insanely weird. I do not understand why the usual brightness and maximum are needed there. My backlight started flashing at 360 Hz when I turned on the strobing and I thought about replacing the cable, I don’t want to hand over the monitor, because. I like him. And now I don’t need strobing, either. it is clear at 390 Hz, as with strobing. My monitor was produced in August 2022. Can you take a photo of the Omen on overdrive 2? (alien) Or a video? speed 960.

Note that 390 Hz/FPS is panning at 780pps (390*2ppf) even tho its set to 960pps. For pixel perfect motion smoothness we need to stick with integer number of pixels/frame.

Slower moving speeds naturally look less blurry and GtG hides more inside persistence blur. U can check speeds for other frame rates here . 390 fps deviates by 19% from target speed which is in a red zone. Even 360fps doesn't pan at 960 but 1080pps. Use Aperture Grille's Smooth Frog for any non-integer speed.

Here is my 360Hz AW2521H at 780pps vs 1080pps. Some would say significant difference.

It's a different type of clarity, if you look at techless results, one is brute forced by 390hz with barely 13% refresh rate compliance while the other is achieved by 93% of transitions inside a 240hz window with RGB 5 tolerance, there are some transitions that benefit from the higher refresh rate at 1440+pps but at lower panning speeds the Omen is the clearest of the two.

After more testing I'm actually sending back the X25, it's not "insanely better" compared to the Acer and the colors suck, I'm waiting for 500hz E-TN with AMLED backlights.

It probably has to do with the fact that Max Brightness ON ends up undervolting the backlight, reason why VRB Normal is like 450nits

I'm not very good at taking ufotests but this is what it looks like at 960pps.

Thanks, didn't know that! Why is this happening? Is there an intelligible explanation? Does this only happen in the UFO test? Is there such an effect in the game at a speed of 960 or does it only happen in the UFO test? However, at 390Hz this monitor still feels better than at 360, which is strange since the boost isn't as great.

Do you know if the x 25 has any software/firmware update? Also on which OD did you set it? And did you turned off gsync?
