I have not been able to find a way yet either to deviate from that resolution list. I am trying to push out 1920x1080 at 240 to second PC.

Also, does this monitor not have any type of software OSD? I don't want to reach behind it all the time to switch between gamer/desktop use.

I'm having the exact same issue on my PG27AQN, you can choose to resize using "Monitor" instead of "GPU" at NVCP then the rest of the resolution will appear but you are still not able to create custom resolution.

and second issue with me is that the monitor limited at 144hz in 1920x1080/2368x1332 resolution, it works fine on windows desktop @360hz. However, when you run into a fullscreen application/game with that resolution the monitor will lock at 144hz. Even you had set it to 360hz at NVCP.

This is certainly frustrating to learn. From what I've been able to find online from all sources, you must be on 1920x1080 (16:9), 2368x1332 (16:9), or 2560x1440 (16∶9) to be able to run 360 Hz (with DSC). 16:10 resolutions (and any others) seem to be locked to regular DisplayPort 1.4 specs (or HDMI 2.0 but those are even lower, wouldn't use). Therefore common non-DSC, non 16:9 resolutions would be 1920x1200 (16:10) @ 360 Hz, 2560x1080 (~21:9) @ 300 Hz, around ~1810x1358 max for (4:3) @ 360 Hz, sorry I don't have exact math on that one just an estimate.

Disappointing that they wouldn't include an HDMI 2.1 port here as AMD 6k, 7k, RTX 3k, 4k series all have it. In this case I don't consider this a true 360 Hz monitor if you're locked in to using 16:9, and considering its a monitor built for the hardcore gamer, a lot of them (us) use 16:10 or other. I would go so far as to say its false advertising but we do our due diligence to suss this out.

If anyone is able to get 360 Hz DSC working on ALL resolutions (not just 16:9 ones) please reply with your findings. Maybe this can be solved in a driver/firmware update, otherwise its a deal-breaker for me.

I have to update: via HDMI you use custom resolution with 240hz.

my HDMI cable with monitor not working...so i take 1 hdmi old from another monitor. May be if take good new version via HDMI we can work with 360hz. But now i can use custom with 240hz

Just a personal update, I decided to go with Acer Nitro XV272U KF 1440P 300 Hz HDMI 2.1, went on sale on Amazon for $720 USD, that's $330 less than the PG27AQN. I lose 60 Hz off the top at 16:9 but now I should have the freedom to do 300 Hz on any res/ratio up to 1440p, even with 10 bit colors (vs 8 bit only on PG27AQN). This is without any DSC as the total transmission bandwidth on HDMI 2.1 is higher than DisplayPort 1.4 (48 Gbit/s vs 32.40 Gbit/s). Only thing I'm lightly concerned over is the lack of reviews online for this specific model, but it should perform better than the Acer XB273U GX and that one's pretty well regarded. The XV272U KF uses a better panel, the M270KMA-EFB or M270KMA-E7B.
