All these 240Hz OLED's coming out got me curious, what's really the benefit of 240Hz compared to 120Hz? I say this because, even for games that are capable of 240 FPS on a beastly PC, you have to drop the resolution and quality so much that it's not worth it, aren't you better off using higher res and quality at 120 FPS and just use BFI, and you can already do that on a 120Hz OLED! Wouldn't 120 FPS on a 120Hz OLED with BFI have the same level of blurryness as 240 FPS @ 240Hz, yet it would look better because higher resolution and quality? I'm actually curious if this is correct or not.
I did talk to someone on twitter about all this and they said the benefit is, BFI can be better on a 240Hz compared to a 120Hz. Is this true? That does kind of make sense to me.
Very eager to see replies
the whole point of 240Hz OLED is better BFI?
Re: the whole point of 240Hz OLED is better BFI?
You dont have to max out your Hz on every use case. For instance if you're playing AAA title. Settling for around 120Hz/fps can be perfectly valid option. But better is better and gives you more freedom of choice.
There's a lot of competitive, older or retro titles that will greatly benefit from 240Hz over 120Hz. Plus certainly the added quality of life in smoother scrolling and general using in desktop.

So could a 240Hz OLED allow a better BFI experience than a 120Hz OLED?
