Ok looks like a new projector using laser projection will be coming out soon!
Its called the AirPico.
Best of all it looks like they are using updated PicoP tech for their display.
It features Wireless Display Standards Miracast and DLNA.
HD-quality, 720 pixels, is guaranteed, and its internal battery lasts full 2 hours.
It should be out this Christmas so it may be better for most of you to wait and buy that one instead of the showwx+.
(BTW, I think this is the 25 lumen 720 HD version that was in the Pioneer Navi.)
Microvision is working with Sony right now to make a 35-50 lumen LBS laser projector but that is a ways off.
Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
Re: Laser projectors general?

nice, any info on pricing?
Re: Laser projectors general?
::rewatches video::
This thing doesn't appear to have any way of getting, y'know, *video* into it, along a *cable*.
Which makes it useless as a gaming monitor, and is kind of a disappointment.
Someone please tell me I'm mistaken.

dam
well this thing is intended to be used for mobile devices... so if it turns out to have low lag we will be lucky

Re: Laser projectors general?
How can that be used with a PC if it doesn't have a HDMI port?
Re: Laser projectors general?
Some guy in the comments says $325 MSRP, which sounds like a sensible price-point given the pricing of the ShowWX and ShowWX+ at retail.flood wrote:nice, any info on pricing?
Looks like you'll have to break this one open and do a little modding if you want to connect it to a VGA in.
Re: Laser projectors general?
OK I think I found the ideal solution for now.
Seeser M2 laser pico projector
25 ANSI lumens of output at SVGA (800x600) resolution.
Has a VGA cable connection
Thats 10 lumens brighter than the showwx+! (But uses the same tech)
Slightly more resolution too.
If anyone one buys one from ebay do a video review and let us all know how it works.

Re: Laser projectors general?
That's not going to help us who don't have DVI-I ports, though. We won't be able to use a DVI to VGA adapter...
R9 290 and 3xx+ cards only have DVI-D.
