🖥️ New OLED Subforum Announcement 🖥️

For year 2023, there is a gigantic number of 240Hz OLEDs launching, by several vendors including LG and Samsung.

Just merely going by LG panels arriving in Year 2023 alone:
  1. LG 27" 240Hz model 27GR95QE-B desktop OLED
  2. LG 45" 240Hz ultrawide model 45GR95QE-B desktop OLED
  3. ASUS 27" desktop 1440p 240Hz OLED model PG27AQDM
  4. Dough Spectrum 1440p 27" desktop OLED
  5. Corsair Xeneon Flex 45" 240Hz desktop ultrawide
  6. Etc
And we've got those respective Samsung panels, including the earlier Samsung 175Hz QD-OLED panel. And all the existing 4K 120Hz G-SYNC TVs now being used with computers for the last few years. Burn in risk is much lower now, and modern OLED burns in more slowly than plasma displays now.

240Hz OLEDs have less motion blur than 360Hz LCDs, if you don't use strobing. The fast pixel response of OLEDs give OLEDs about a 1.5x to 2.0x Hz advantage in display motion blur over an LCD. And OLED latency is dropping quickly like a rock, with certain models now similar to average-lag 240Hz LCDs.

Thus, a new subforum has been created:

OLED Displays Forum

I've moved a lot of pre-existing threads to that forum.
Enjoy!
