Important thing to clarify - i understand in pc's and laptops almost nothing, so i might not understand right away what something means or what to do, please bear with me! Also english my second language, so i might write something wrong.
So, i have a Legion 5-15ACH6H laptop, here a specs:
Windows 11 pro
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
32GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU
Monitor 165 Hz
Main browser - Opera GX, latest update
I'm not sure how to properly explain the problem, but i'll try my best because it pisses me off for months now, and i don't know if it's a laptop or my eyes giving up.
I didn't really noticed this in games, but if it's there then it's very subtle.
Whenever in video shows characters move or simple panorama view, strobing appears (at first i thought it was stuttering, but upon further investigation i guesses it's strobing, but i still might be wrong), both in vertical and horizontal movement.
I tried to record how it looks, but video appears generally laggy so duh. The most recent example i can give is this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aybr_9MzKXI), time 0:39-0:41, it strobs hard for me, especially if focus on outline of bathtub.
Windows suggest i can change Hz to 165, 82.50 or "Dynamic 83 Hz or 165 Hz", yet switching between these setting didn't changed anything.
Couple of days ago, i DID get rid ot this strobing by tweaking Nvidia settings like Triple buffering - On and Vertical sync - Fast, i thought i get rid of strobing for good and went to sleep.
On next day everything went back. So i searched a lot of other forums (+10 years ago ones too), and they suggested to install K-Lite codek pack which i did, and everything again went to normal. I could see smallest strobs but they didn't bothered me since they were so small, so i again went to sleep. Aaand here we are...
I saw that i can run tests on https://www.testufo.com , but i don't understand what do i see is normal or not, so if any of them can help, i'll provide any information needed
I don't really know what else could i do, so please can anyone guide me through this tough path?
Video strobing both in browser and downloaded ones.
