Hello, I am going to share an experience that happened to me with my AOC 24G2W1G8 monitor.
First of all, it should be noted that I am new to overclocking monitors.
The monitor I'm talking about has a resolution of 10920x1080 and a refresh rate of 240hz.
Through the Nvidia control panel I decided to overclock it, since I had done it before.
The first thing I did was reduce the vertical resolution by 1 pixel, to start raising the refresh rate, in normal resolution (1920x1080), I couldn't get past 241hz, but with 1 pixel less in the vertical resolution I managed to reach a stable 400hz, without the out of range message appearing.
The interesting thing comes from now on, I decided to keep increasing the refresh rate, until when I reach 440hz, my monitor turns off, disconnects and turns on again. Since that happened I can't go beyond 241hz even with the 1920x1079 resolution. I've tried with cru and I haven't been able to do it either.
At this point I have many doubts.
What has happened to my monitor to be able to reach such an exorbitant refresh rate?
How can I improve my monitor by changing the parameters that appear in the Nvidia control panel, in the synchronization tab, or in the parameters tab in CRU?

Probably a glitch. Did you even see an improvement in the smoothness?
Try reinstalling the GPU driver using DDU and then try again.
