hi guys,i have actually g7 32" and i play a lot of competitive fps games, didn t like the size and need to replace it,actualply looking for:
- ips panel because don t wanna invest in tn panel
- lowest input lag possible
- fastest response time
- 240 hz+
- motion blur reduction
- under 600euro
actually i m looking between this 3 monitors
-xg2431 best 240hz ips 1080p, i know havbe the best ips mbr but is dark and, sure i can run 240hz on csgo and in other games more demanding like warzone 360 euro
-xv252qf fastest ips 390hz 1080p,this one on paper is better but u need to hit the 390 for be the best, mbr is not clear as xg2431 400 euro
-xv272uxb same panel of predator xb273ugx 1440p 270hz,don t know more future proof, but like xv252qf i can t run 1440p 270hz on more demanding games, and don t know if is suited for competitive like the others 2 monitor 2nd hand 400 euro
i play 95 % of the time csgo / lol and sometimes warzone or battlefield with some friends,in this games is better invest on 240hz with more clarity or more hz?is worth trade xg2431 clarity or xv252qf speed for xv272uxb?how it com pare to them?

Monitor for Fps gaming
Re: Monitor for Fps gaming
ULMB/DYAC/STROBING/PUREXP/BFI doesn't benefit you that much in games like CS:GO.
I own the XG2431 and AW2523HF and in Valorant/CS:GO I prefer the 360Hz monitor with ULMB off. With that said, the price of the XG2431 and its performance are unreal.
I'm waiting for the 540Hz TN display to come out and will likely upgrade to that for Counter-Strike 2.

For Valorant and CS GO, do you prefer the XG2431 or the AW2523HF? How is the AW2523HF regarding motion blur? It doesn't have ULMB, right?Boop wrote: ↑25 May 2023, 03:00ULMB/DYAC/STROBING/PUREXP/BFI doesn't benefit you that much in games like CS:GO.

Re: Monitor for Fps gaming
My mistake, I mixed up the model numbers. I use the AW2521H over the XG2431 in Valorant and CS:GO. The AW2521H only supports ULMB at 240Hz/144Hz and none at 360Hz.Caronizeeee wrote: ↑25 May 2023, 03:17For Valorant and CS GO, do you prefer the XG2431 or the AW2523HF? Motion blur reduction on XG2431 is superior for games that benefit from strobing.

ULMB doesn't help:
- Fixed gaze at crosshairs. You are immune to display-induced motion blur during fixed-gaze situations. ULMB only helps when your eyeballs are in motion, tracking moving objects. Many (not all) eSports CS:GO players keep a fixed gaze at crosshairs, using only peripheral vision to see enemies outside crosshairs. Mouse-turning/strafing to bring them into crosshairs, never moving eyes away from crosshairs. Absolute lag is more important than ULMB for gaze-only-at-crosshairs tactics.
ULMB can help competitively with better eye tracking for:
- High speed low altitude helicoptor flybys over camoflaged enemies
- Ball in Rocket League (especially if ball is dark/camoflaged)
- Analyzing panning scenery (e.g. full framerate super-hectic RTS)
- Fast scrolling Sonic Hedgehog style platformers
Know which gameplay tactics allow ULMB to have reaction time advantages
In these, human-react advantage of ULMB can end up outweighing strobe lag. The trick is to optimize to minimum strobe lag (maximize reaction time advantage of ULMB -- ULMB lag can be reduced down to as little 2-3ms average screen-center lag for 144Hz-240Hz strobe). And fix the ULMB jitteriness/microstutter (upgrade mouse, upgrade GPU, do appropriate tweaks, and do the triple lock where possible!) Then "arcade-CRT-clear perfect motion fluidity" can beckon to a competitive advantage.

Re: Monitor for Fps gaming
then heavy trtacking games (apex/ow/cod) benefit of ulmb, tact shooter is better high hz for more refresh and low input lag right?Boop wrote: ↑25 May 2023, 03:28AW2521H vs XG2431

Re: Monitor for Fps gaming
Apex caps at 300 fps. You might as well use the XG2431 with PureXP turned on for best motion clarity.
Overwatch caps at 600 fps. I think this one comes down to preference. I definitely see the benefits of ULMB/PureXP here compared to CSGO.
Warzone is hard to get 300+ fps even on the best hardware available. I'd use the XG2431 for this if I played it more.
Re: Monitor for Fps gaming
then xv252qf is better only is valorant or csgo,in other games ulmb is king and 240hz is more easy to hit right?xg2431 is really so dark?
Re: Monitor for Fps gaming
IMO get the XG2431 and if the brightness is a problem then return it. You can also manually tune it to your liking with the Blurbusters Strobing utility.
I really don't like the tuning of the XV252Q due to lots of ghosting in the screenshots that I've seen. According to the RTINGS input lag test, the XG2431 also has less input lag than the XV252Q when strobing is enabled.

Re: Monitor for Fps gaming
The XV252Q should have less input lag than the XG2431... Higher refresh means lower input lag. And Strobing increases input lag slightly actually. XG2431 has lower input lag with strobing disabled fyi... You got your facts backwards. The XV252Q is faster than the xg2431. Ive had both monitors, the XV252Q feels faster and smoother over the XG2431.Boop wrote: ↑26 May 2023, 02:40IMO get the XG2431 and if the brightness is a problem then return it. I didnt care for the strobing on the XG2431, it is fairly dim with strobing enabled and youre increasing input lag.
