Pointers for XL2546K & 60 FPS Locked Games.

Post by Domyo » 17 Apr 2024, 00:52

Hey guys, I'm just wondering how I should approach setting up my monitor to be used with games such as Tekken 8 which are locked at 60fps

Would it be wise to lower from 240hz to 60/120hz for a more seamless experience, or would the Situation of keeping it on 239.760hz and using Freesync & AMA to High be the way to go?

(I did try using Toasty's Vertical Calculator to try QFT for 60hz but I keep getting a black Screen) Much Appreciated!

Freesync is always better if it works for that game and your display is good at VRR.

If you are not using strobing then just leave it set to max Refresh rate.
Strobing requires a fixed refresh rate, these BenQ monitors do NOT support 60 hz strobing it has a lot of cross talk unplayable.
You can however set it to 120 HZ and use the Tekken 8 FPS Unlocker it will also do 240 FPS if you have a RTX 4090 that is.

And there is also Lossless_Scaling App on steam which will run any fighting game at 120 FPS interpolated.

60HZ has nasty blur without strobing I much prefer 120 FPS mode FPS unlocked
