XG2431 Horizontal Lines when not in 239.761 Hz

Tried different OS (Linux) but noticed the issue using Win10. Tried different cables.

When I turn the monitor on/off the Viewsonic splash screen also has horizontal lines.

Any suggestions?

Looks like the 240hz setting also started producing the same lines or worse. As of today the monitor has failed and will not produce a normal image at any Hz. It was a great ride, loved using this thing. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the reliability of the XG2431 has improved since release. Is this still the best value 240Hz monitor to buy despite the high probability of issues or is there something better in the $200-500 price range?

benQ seems to also have a lot of complaints about broken Zowie monitors aswell

From my understanding all these strobing focused monitors use extreme voltage to power the LEDs to get acceptable brightness while strobing maybe thats the reason so many of them fail

Seems like a reasonable theory but I know very little about this technology. I will most likely get another XG2431 because it seems some people get reliable monitors, just gotta boost my luck stats. The XG2431 is also cheaper than similar spec'd Zowie models. Currently using a XG2701 144Hz TN as a temporary replacement. I haven't used a TN panel for gaming in 10+ years and there is no way I will acclimate to this downgrade. Are there any OLED monitors that are sub $500 that would be a adequate substitute for the XG2431?

If you can get 360 FPS in all your games without dipping too low then you can get any normal 360 HZ monitor with good review on rtings.

If you need 60 HZ Strobing there isn't a single other option besides the XG2431, it's all that exist on the market.

If you can maintain 240 FPS in all the games you play then get the Zowie XL2546X for $600

It can do perfect strobing near 0 cross talk at 240 HZ with extremely bright screen, 340 Nits while strobing, absolutely insane.

If you get a new XG2431 you have a 90% chance of receiving a good one.
