HDR looks washed out/Windows 10/Gaming

Post by WaterBottle » 28 Apr 2024, 15:22

Hey Guys,

I have 2 HDR Displays (Hisense 55E78HQ/LG Ultragear 32GP850-B) and both of them are connected to PC (MSI 4070 Ventus).
While playing with HDR, both Displays Colors looks just wrong in every HDR Game, i tried.
Red looks more like Orange and in general are the Colors "washed out".
In SDR everything looks better, but i like how HDR handles Colorbanding where i am very sensible with.

I know the Displays are not the best HDR Displays but i dont care about Black Level and Peak Brightness i just want normal Colors and a better Colorbanding handling.

The LG 32GP850-B HDR Cabatility is not sooo bad, when i look at RRtings.

That looks like a mismatch between what the game is sending to the card and what the LCD panel is receiving.

Make sure you're using display ports and not HDMI. If that's not it, I dunno. I agree it looks bad.
