Daisy chaining two 1080p/120Hz monitors

Post by lkns » 22 Sep 2024, 16:46

Hello all,

I’m setting up a dual monitor system with a Dell U2424HE (main) and U2424H (secondary), both at 1080p/120Hz. I’m planning to daisy chain them via DisplayPort 1.4 MST to avoid extra cables from my laptop and PC, while also using the U2424HE’s built-in KVM.

Will daisy chaining introduce any lag? Can it handle the 120Hz refresh rate? Any tips or experiences with similar setups would be appreciated since I’m not sure what to expect.

Setup:

Laptop: USB-C (Thunderbolt) (RTX 4080 mobile)

PC: DisplayPort (RTX 4060)

Thanks in advance!
