Can ghosting blur be good in this case?

Post by ZTylerDurden » 02 Oct 2024, 15:32

I realized that my IPS Dell 60hz monitor handles better than my faster response g-sync 144hz tn monitor set to 60hz when playing a 60fps game with inconsistent frame-pacing. What I mean are games that post consistent 60fps readings but still experience judder from game engine faults.

I noticed my IPS has had slight ghosting all along. Is it possible that ghosting blur can be beneficial in the sense that it makes judders a bit softer by this blurring side-effect? Or is it that a 60hz native monitor will generally be better handling 60fps judders than a 144hz monitor set to its non-native 60hz?
