Hi folks,
I'm a competitive FPS 1080p gamer who wants to reap the benefits of a modern OLED display- I have my sights set on the Sony Inzone M10S which is unfortunately (for me) a 1440p monitor.
Is there a penalty hit as it relates to input latency when running a 1440p monitor like this at a lower resolution (1080p)? The reason I want to run it at 1080p is to maximize fps. My understanding is that running a non-native resolution (even if lower) would introduce a slight input latency hit- but I'd love some clarity on this.
My current monitor is an Asus ROG Swift pg248qp
The main benefit i'm after as it relates to this 'upgrade' would be image clarity + lower response time but I'd hate to inadvertently make my input lag worse.
Thanks in advance.
input lag penanlty?
