Recently experienced plasma again. I'm confused 60fps looked the same as 60fps on oled?

The display was a 2009 Panasonic TH-C42FD18 with a subfield drive of 480hz.
I am confused since not only did 60fps overwatch look the exact same as it would on an oled. 30fps also did too.
From my understanding, the persistence should be somewhere around 6 to 8ms on 60fps content. Did i misunderstand something. Or was there hidden settings you needed to turn on? I really doubt it since i could actually see the screen flicker with the edges of my eyes. I never knew i was that sensitive.

In retrospect, the fact 30 - 60fps on that thing has the equivalent motion quality as on an oled is amazing for it's time. 2010 ish. But if that is what 6ms (ish) pulsed persistence means, then I am very confused. Especially on why you chief want to make a plasma simulator now that the crt one is out.
