I mean, with the custom resolution that didn't skip.

the skipping is a problem with the screen.

Are you using multimonitor with a 60Hz monitor?

That often causes frameskipping problems.

If so, then disable/unplug all secondary monitors, and test only using the GSYNC monitor as the primary/single monitor.

Oh...if im making a custom resolution with CVT timmings, everything is ok... But why ? Why would the screen skip at automatic timings ?

Hi,
No, im not, this is my only monitor...read above to see the exact problem. Could this be a cause of the 3D function ? I know im on 2d now, but im asking, could this interfere in some way ? Is any way to turn of the 3d function or completly disable it on ACER GD245HQ ? Again, the screen only skipps at 120hz, default timings, but its normal at lower hz like 110,100, etc. When i create a custom resolution (like the default im playing 1280x720) with either CVT, CVT REDUCED BLANK or any other custom timings preset, everything is normal. Why would the monitor skipp at automatic timings?

Would a samsung 2233rz would do a better job in terms of input lag, ghosting, instead of this acer ?

I already answered your question and you keep asking the SAME question.
Because the PANEL/firmware is DEFECTIVE.
On the very threads you linked on ocuk, other people had the SAME problem with the same screen you have, which went away when they bought a different screen.
It's not like you're going to open up the monitor and change the firmware, so just move on.

And why a 2233rz?
That was good for its time but it's now ancient. The response time of newer monitors like the VG248QE (can be found quite cheap now, $199--this went for $399 on release) and the Benq Z series, 2430T, 2420G, and the hard to find ROG Swift, will blow the 2233rz out of the water, with much lower input lag too. Plus all these monitors have strobing backlights and the gsync models have ULMB. Some have the older version of ULMB, "lightboost" which can be enabled by toastyX's strobelight if you have a VG248QE (strobelight always works) or an older Benq T series, like 2420TE, 2720T, 2411T, etc (2430T is the successor to the 2420Z and neither the Z series nor 2430T will work with strobelight), and the Z series can still use lightboost if you really want it (even though they have their own built in Benq blur reduction that can even work on consoles (hdmi)) by using an Nvidia card/laptop as a surrogate and using the inf override method combined with the '3d vision emulator' zip file. But for any of these newer monitors that support 3d vision 2 (lightboost) AND ULMB or Benq blur reduction, just use those.
ULMB won't work on AMD Radeon video cards, so get the 2430T or a Benq Z series for blur reduction.

Now if you can get a 2233rz for free, I mean yeah it will work and will have lower input lag than the buggy Acer (the new Gsync acers seem to be ok) and no 120 hz stutter skip issues, but why not get something newer?

you are right, i was asking about this particular because 2233rz is near ~100 euro used, in my country and a VG248QE its like 320euro (new)

If you can afford it, spend the extra $ on a monitor newer than the 2233rz. You won't be disappointed.
The first LCD I ever bought was some Samsung T monitor with VGA inputs (never used it, about to throw it away), then the 2233rz, which I bought in case my CRT completely died, which it didn't, so I never really used it. By the time the CRT was actually dead, the VG248QE was out so I got that. Was MUCH better than the 2233rz and was even better after the lightboost hacks came out. I then got a second one, and then got the 2720Z when v2 firmware got released and Benq started shipping the V2 models on their site.

Spend the extra $ on the Vg248...don't waste time on the 2233rz, regardless of how cheap it is.
