xl2730z VS mg279q
I really don't know what monitor to pickup next between the XL2730Z and the MG279Q. I know the BenQ is TN panel and the Asus is an IPS panel. I've been using lightboost on my BenQ XL2411T for years now. I basically play TF2 and other valve games online that I have no issues running at hundreds of FPS. What it comes down to for me at the moment is 1ms VS 6ms and the Asus may not be able to work with lightboost?
Re: xl2730z VS mg279q
I'll list the major differences that I know of. Take into account I own the XL2730Z and love it.
Xl2730Z:
Faster response times
Less (slightly) input lag
No IPS glow
FreeSync 40 - 144 hz
True 8-bit TN (very comparable colors to the ASUS)
Blur reduction
MG279Q:
IPS (8-bit)
Semi-glossy coating
FreeSync 35 - 90 hz
Sometimes poor QC on ASUS monitors
Some IPS glow on every monitor (go check Newegg reviews)
May add more later.
