Hello I have just bought a BenQ XL2411Z which is a 144hz monitor to upgrade from my old 1080P 60hz monitor.
I have both monitors set up with the old one at 60hz and the new one at 144hz and they are working fine but I am noticing an issue where when I watch videos on my new monitor or just browse there are some faint blue lines that appear on the screen and when I set the monitor to 60HZ it goes away. Any fix for this?

Re: XL2411Z 144HZ Help
Might be a flaky panel. If there are faint blue lines at 144hz but not at 60hz or 120hz then I would RMA the screen.
Re: XL2411Z 144HZ Help
I just tested again and full screen games do get issues with blue lines at 144hz zzzz fuck sake.
Any steps I should take before I RMA? I am going to DDU my graphics drivers and install the newest Nvidia drivers now

Re: XL2411Z 144HZ Help
I can tell when there is an issue is there is a little faint blue line on my desktop and it appears to only be visbile at 144HZ and not 120HZ( if it is I can not see it)
Re: XL2411Z 144HZ Help
Just tried my other DVI-D cable and it still has the same issue, 144HZ doesnt work but 120HZ does.
I have a feeling its more of a windows issue than a faulty monitor as I had this in the past with my old monitor when I disabled Aero on Windows 10 but I have that enabled now

Re: XL2411Z 144HZ Help
It's not a windows issue.
If it was, full screen exclusive mode games would NOT have this issue.
Since it happens at 144hz and 120hz but not at 60hz and 100hz, then it's a flaky monitor. Windows does NOT care what the refresh rate is. Just RMA the monitor.

Just updated to the newest windows 10 build and it fixed it, no more blue lines at 144HZ on either Full screen apps or the desktop, been playing Overwatch/LoL for a few hours now and its all smooth at 144HZ.
I have one question though which is why is my Black EQ greyed out? I am currently under Standard picture settings with my colour temps changed a little as my only settings

Oh you were on windows 10. Missed that.
Black equalizer is available in the FPS and RTS game modes. It can't be used in any mode where gamma adjustments are available because it adjusts the gamma of dark shades dynamically while leaving white shades alone.
standard mode has gamma 1-5 adjustments.
FPS / RTS modes do not have gamma adjustments.
