Probably the same as all the other Benqs, it's not like they do anything new with the technology.

It's not even out yet, you will probably have to wait for tftcentral for any real results.

"They" did do something new. The panel is just out of production and it is the first commercially available monitor with that panel. We don't know any characteristics of it. But yeah I am hoping tftcentral or prad will give a nice review about it. It seems like benq has not send out any review samples to them before release which is a bit of a shame. And it is out at least here in the netherlands you can order one and receive it the next day.

+1
Also menu OSD is same so it's same internals like other BenQ XL monitors. BenQ never f..cked up with monitors.

Can you name 144Hz monitors with high or bad input lag?

High and bad can be a lot of things. The 34" ultra wide 200hz monitors have twice the input lag of my xb270hu. That is 8ms total vs 4ms total latency (input lag + response time). Doesn't mean they have bad latency. The eizo fg2421 has 14 ms of latency also can be considered not bad. I don't care what people consider bad I just want to know the number and base my judgement on that before buying it. Also even though historically input latency has been "low" on most 144hz monitors it does not mean this one will also have that same property.

(source regarding these input latency numbers table is a the bottom: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/ace ... r_z271.htm)

That really does not have anything to do with the internals. It is already know this monitor will not have a low motion blur mode while in the past they had on their high refresh monitors. You don't know what other things they have changed about it internally that affects the panel.

Most people who aims to get fastest monitors for gaming prefer TN and 24-27" imo. May be I'm wrong. Your examples are out of specs (TN and 24-27").

Input lag caused by internals. Mostly firmware matter and it's a part of internals. TN panel itself doesn't affect input lag. I agree that monitor can have high input lag compared to other monitors but all I wanna say there is no real big reasons in increasing it. Response times looks a bit better from thread's posts and I expected pixel change speed much faster. I did tests with total input lag (from mouse to monitor) with XL2430T, PG278Q, ZIS board at 220Hz, S2417DG, PG248Q and they all performs almost the same:

wee3.png (29.16 KiB) Viewed 4044 times
Don't take those average latency values serious (for example to say XL2411T is faster than PG248Q is wrong) because variance(diff column) is big enough. My test setup needs a change to lower variance.

Fair enough I don't expect that either but you can never be sure of that. And I am interested in the response time of these new panels because that will most likely be better.

I see respawn.ninja has uploaded their review about the xl2540. The monitor is a bit slower at the same frequency then the xl2420g (1 frame behind at 144hz). Bit of a shame I had hoped it would not have that problem although it will be very minor at 240hz I guess.

it's possible it's slower at 144hz, but it's still faster at 240hz isn't it ?

I got this monitor now, replacing my 220hz qnix, oh you can overclock it to 242hz lol

That's a pretty typical Benq overclock.

Did you do anything more then just adjusting the hz or did you fiddle with the other settings?

Edit: Oh, and check for skip frames, when i overclocked my Benq to 148~ i thought i was getting somewhere until i realized that i was skipping frames the whole time.

I haven't tried playing with other stuff, not sure what I could try

Just tried the frameskip and with 15 pictures taken with low iso no frameskip
