Freesync is active when BR is off, no need of CRU or whatever. Default range is 48-240hz
Within Radeon driver there is the option to swich it on/off, default is on (but when BR is active the switch is greyed)

so finally I got the long desired XL2540, I just enabled blur reduction..
Can u tell me which Area / Intensity do u guys use? I heard one guy say 12,12
I currently am on intensity 16 area 40 .. a bit dark tho, Will try lower hz with vt tweaks .
EDIT : Under Automatic LCD Standard when Im trying to set VT to like 1570 @ 180hz it shows 640 pixel clock ! to maintain the clock under the limit I can only use values lower than 1500[!!!] (@180hz)
did I do something wrong? HT still 1920 .. can u help me with that guys?

Horizontal Total (bigger than 1920) is not the same as Horizontal Resolution (1920).
Can you doublecheck Horizontal Total? (Horizontal Total is horizontal active resolution + horizontal porches/sync)
Most of the time, Horizontal Total is roughly ~2080 but it can be decreased slightly (I've heard 2040 works, but not sure if this applies to XL2540) to allow more bandwidth to increase Vertical Total. The more you remove from Horizontal Total (until it blacks out with too small a Horizontal Total) -- the more you can add to Vertical Total. Be careful from using too small of a Horizontal Total, though.

(@180hz with high VT give me blank screen, thats where 182hz come in handy)

Can you post the screenshot that displays 640 pixel clock?
Pixel clock = (Horizontal Total) x (Vertical Total) x (Refresh Rate)
So naturally, reducing Horizontal Total (down to 2080), lowers the pixel clock to below 600 million pixels per second.
Remember to use ToastyX CRU, not NVIDIA Custom Resolution since that often overrides the actual display output.

Hi guys, I got this monitor yesterday, was on 60hz before.
I have few questions:
- In service menu, when I check Blue Reduction I can't really feel any difference on screen or in tests. Does it really work or I should change my testing methods? My F\W version is V002 20161101 and changing Intensity changes brightness which was v1 bug and should be fixed in my v2?
- If I get AMD card, will FreeSync work? I heard it has some problems and was "removed" but it like actually works with DP cable but I have not found a 100% proof of that.
- I use DP cable but sometimes my monitor uses HDMI input first for some reason and only then switches to DP, any way to fix that?
- I don't get the use of VT tweaks posted here as I don't see BR working. Are they useful only for BR? I don't see any crosstalk with BR on or off.
edit: I finally saw BR in work. Difference is so small compared to 240hz. So my question now: does these VT tweaks like 182hz 1584VT (pic above) can improve my experience in any way without BR on?
- I love to watch pro Overwatch guy, he has this monitor. He said recently that he had switched to 144hz on this monitor because he found that on 240hz 'picture does not match gameplay' he didn't went in details but how it's could be? He is a word champing in Quake so I trust him. But I don't get what can cause that. Any ideas?

How I can get 240hz with this monitor? I have Asus Nvidia GTX 680 DCII 2gb and using Windows 7. Atm using cable what came with the monitor (DP 1.4 I think?) Highest I can go is 144hz.. :/
I really would love to use 240Hz cuz mainly playing CSGO @1080p and I get pretty much 300fps.

You need a graphics card that supports DisplayPort 1.2.
The specs of your GPU:

They say "Display Port : Yes x 1 (Regular DP)". So I don't think you have DP 1.2. Just "regular" (which probably means 1.0 or 1.1.)
You can try and patch the driver using the "ToastyX NVidia Pixel Clock Patcher":

Hmm.. That maybe the reason.. Still kinda odd that EVGA's 680 version support 240hz.. :d

Yeah, it's up to the manufacturer. EVGA used DisplayPort 1.2 on that model, it seems Asus did not.
Windows 7 OS bottleneck or does OS even matter these type of situations?

No, OS doesn't matter. Windows 7 has no refresh rate limit or anything.
