Re: BENQ XL2430T settings for CS:GO, regular use and movies
VT 1500 is better than VT 1502 at 120hz. Sometimes the sync will fail (maybe 10% of the time) on a mode switch and you will get frame stuttering. This doesn't happen at VT 1500. VT 1502 is fine at 100hz.

I just can't agree that blur reduction ON and 120Hz is better than blur reduction OFF and 144Hz for competitive FPS gaming.
I know it's personal but I'm sure most players prefer BBR off for competitive FPS gaming.

I will try on 1500.Falkentyne wrote:VT 1500 is better than VT 1502 at 120hz. Sometimes the sync will fail (maybe 10% of the time) on a mode switch and you will get frame stuttering. This doesn't happen at VT 1500. VT 1502 is fine at 100hz.

Proceeds to adjust brightness, contrast, gamma and digital vibrance.
I will never understand this. Good colour is only one thing, accurate colour. Pointlessly adjusting random nobs to makes stuff look better is just stupid. Some people put a lot of time into adjusting things to be viewed a certain way and this is a spit in the face to them. This also has a side effect of lowering the dynamic range as you're cramming everything into a small 8bit envelope.
> fps_max 0
From what I've been told, you want to lower your max fps to just below the value it drops to to reduce latency. I can't remember why, but someone smarter then me can maybe explain it.

If you have better settings colours you can easier see the enemies. That's should help also in see enemies in a smoke. It's very hard to set right settings for own eyes. Accurate colours it's very important in regular use / movies mode.lexlazootin wrote:> Objective: the lowest lag input & good colors

I have heard its better have unstable 200/300+ fps instead constant 120 (fps_max 121). Your movement also its better than on 120 fps. I tested it and it seems like that. On constant 120 fps I'm a bit slowly - I think so.lexlazootin wrote:> fps_max 0

I tried VT1500 and it's really better than 1502, how you said. Do you have some other improvements? Like colour settings or something?Falkentyne wrote:VT 1500 is better than VT 1502 at 120hz. Where can I set something like LightBoost 10% vs 50% vs 100% in BENQ 2430T? Like this on Asus:

You can adjust the BBR in the monitors service menu or with the BlurBuster's Blur Busting Buster®©™ app!
http://www.blurbusters.com/benq/strobe- ... ce=sidebar
Sadly i don't believe your specific monitor is supported so to enter the service menu you want to hold down the "Menu" button while turning on your monitor, and then once on press menu again.
You can change a bunch of cool settings and adjust BBR to your desire!
