That tool won't work on the 2430T, Benq or Zowie versions. Also 3d vision 2 support was supposedly removed from the XL2430. The service menu still works.

So i can set only settings like this:

VT Tweak: 1500
Blur Reduction: ON
Intensity: 1
Area: 49

And this is the fastest settings? I dont care about colours / brightness ? No 10% etc? Should I set something else?

I don't have this monitor, but Area=49 which is the same as Strobe Phase 49, should only be used at 100hz refresh rate, with a strobe duty of 11 (49+11=60, backlight shutoff point, that's how they are related; strobe duty=11 is the same as Intensity=16---someone correct me if I'm wrong here please--as Intensity=25 is the same as Strobe Duty 001 on the OLDER Z series monitors, so basically the Duty values are "inverted" on the xl2430T). If this is at 120hz, you are at the absolute lowest persistence possible, which would be Area=49 and intensity=25. Intensity=Strobe Duty, but in reverse from the Z series monitors.

At 120hz for example, I would use Strobe Phase=044 (Area), and Strobe Duty 025-6=019 (Intensity=029) on the XL2430T. That's if intensity is truly inverted.

I can't help you more as I don't have this monitor.

Yea, you have right with inverted values on XL2430T - I did try yesterday. I tested:
- settings 1: Strobe Phase (Area) = 49 and Strobe Duty = 1 (Intensity = 25)
- settings 2: Strobe Phase (Area) = 44 and Strobe Duty = 6 (Intensity = 20)

Values on 120Hz and VT 1500

On first settings I have only 0,167 ms but darker display and more crosstalk.
On second settings I have ~1ms and better brightness and less crosstalk.
I did try make some photos at UFO Motion Tests to show you but it dosnt good quality.

Questions:
1. On 1st settings if brightness is enough for me should I use it on CS:GO? Or to much crosstalks could complicate my game?
2. Should I use same value of FPS and Hz (120Hz/120 FPS)? Or if I can get more than 120 FPS should I make unlimited FPS? UFO Test works only on same freq and FPS. If would be more FPS it should be better?

There is absolutely no point to using 0.167ms strobe persistence. There is no benefit to gaming, and you play worse because it's too hard to see stuff.

Intensity 22 (Strobe Duty 003) + Strobe Phase 047 is doable IF you re are in a pitch black room at night. Make sure monitor brightness is at 100 at all times (always set brightness to 100 at any strobe setting even if not using VT tweaks).

My 24/7 settings are 1.002ms persistence although it's a little hard to see stuff in daytime when the sun is lighting up my room. (phase 044+duty 006/intensity 019 at 120hz, and phase 054+duty 006 at 100hz (total=060, backlight shutoff point).

I think you should use setting 2 for best results!

If you absolutely need more brightness, you can try strobe phase 042 + Duty 008. I would not go higher on the duty (lower on the phase) as then crosstalk at the bottom is far too much.

Nice chart! I'm very proud of you for understanding the relationship between strobe phase and strobe duty. :)

BTW if you want to have a good time, you can try this at 100hz refresh rate and displayport:
custom detailed resolution:

2560x1440, 100hz
porch 48,3
sync 32,5
HT: 2641
VT: 1500

This "can" work over DVI if you use the toastyX pixel clock patcher.

There will be a LOT of crosstalk though, and the crosstalk will be equal in amount to as if you were using 100hz at 1920x1080 WITHOUT a VT tweak.

Not trying to steal the topic, but I can't properly use the VT 1500 tweak on my BenQ XL2420T Rev. 1 (120 Hz version). When I use VT 1500, with the mentioned timings at fullHD @ 120 Hz, the screen gets all blurry and it's unusable. VT 1498-1502 does either does the same or goes "Sync out of Range".

I did use the nvidia full clock patcher since I use a 580 GTX GPU.

You have a XL2420T. This is for the XL2430T, for blur reduction, not your monitor.

So it's not at all applicable for my older monitor?

VT tweaks are for reducing strobe crosstalk for Benq Blur Reduction. Did you even read up on it before trying to use it? Your monitor does not have Benq blur reduction.

You also have a 120hz panel using an older revision of the scaler. If you want to use strobing, ToastyX Strobelight will run on that monitor and will use accelerated scanout by activating the older "Lightboost" mode, without needing to do anything except set up the modes.

The 144hz TE update (XL2420TE) should "Accept" a VT tweak but it serves no purpose unless you want to run 2560x1440 by exploiting it, as the panel and firmware hardware is physically identical to the XL2420Z.

Hi guys! Does these settings works on Benq Zowie XL2430 also? I can't find proper settings for this monitor anywhere. Are they exactly the same as for XL2430T? Thanks!
