Ridiculous I know, and we're only just across the pond haha!

24" 1080p 144Hz (OC 180Hz) TN GSYNC - Acer XB241H - A$500
24" 1080p 144Hz (OC 180Hz) TN GSYNC - Asus PG248Q - A$600
24" 1080p 240Hz TN GSYNC - ASUS ROG PG258Q - A$660
24" 1080p 240Hz TN GSYNC - Acer XB252Q - A$750 (Currently on special for A$650)
24" 1440p 165Hz TN GSYNC - Dell S2417DG - A$859 (Direct)
24" 1440p 165Hz TN GSYNC - Acer XB241YU - A$700
27" 1440p 144Hz IPS GSYNC - Viewsonic XG2703-GS - A$870
27" 1440p 144Hz IPS GSYNC - Asus PG279Q - A$1060
27" 1440p 144Hz IPS GSYNC - Acer XB271HU - A$960
27" 1440p 144Hz TN GSYNC Dell S2716DG - A$779 (Direct)

I really appreciate all the effort my friend - I can only think that the Manufacturers are pushing the 240Hz (or have obtained these panels cheap) and thus the price difference...

Boo. 240Hz for only a few dollars more than 144Hz? Don't bother with 1080p 144Hz GSYNC, then!

Go 1080p240Hz / 1440p144Hz or go home! ;)

(It's a pun on "go big or go home" big-screen cinema marketing slogans in North America)

Haha I have heard that pun before :P. Basically the way I see it (and correct me if I'm wrong):

1. 24" 1080p 240Hz TN GSYNC - ASUS PG258Q + 24" 1200p 60Hz TN - Samsung BW2443
1. 27" 1440p 144Hz IPS GSYNC - Viewsonic XG2703-GS + 24" 1200p 60Hz TN - Samsung BW2443

Then my mind jumps to what the hell do I do with the secondary when I get the $ upgrade. I would feel a bit silly upgrading to a nice IPS 60Hz 24", I'd expect 27" would be the sweetspot (a Dell U2717D or something)?

The major issue with everyone BUT Dell is nothing matches and I know my OCD is going to kick in haha. With Dell I can grab a S2716DG + U2717D and match but that will come to A$1700 (currently and from what I've read the Dell S2716DG leaves a lot to be desired)...

Maybe for me at this current time (after spending a large amount on the new system) and not wanting to waste my 1080ti on a 60Hz 1200p (I am correct in my thinking that throwing a 1080ti at my current Samsung BW2443s is an utter waste of all the money I spent on the 1080ti because of the 60Hz 1200p?) - just go for the Asus PG258Q and upgrade BOTH to 27" in another year or so (aka don't upgrade my secondary Samsung BW2443 later this year).

Thoughts haha?

Yes, those two choices are really good, the Viewsonic XG-2703-GS or the ASUS ROG PG258Q.

You could keep your Samsung 1200p as a secondary temporarily because:
-- You'll figure out how often you're using only the primary monitor. You might find that the monitor is sufficiently upgrade-enough that you can go solely 1-monitor.
-- The old Samsungs is also good for displaying stuff as videogame instructions, walkthroughs, keypress help, and cheatsheets, while playing games
-- When not playing games, you still have a two-screen productivity machine.

Before deciding what to do with replacing the secondary (later on).
