Probably yes, we should be able to raise VT up to 1580-1582 just like at 180hz-144hz-120hz if we will have dotclock headroom at 240hz by lowering the resolution. I havent tried it though, atm I'm not interested in resolutions lower then native.
I'm curious I would like to try. What I have to do? I should create a new custom resolution from the nvidia panel or directly on TostyX ?

Apparently it's common enough that it gets mentioned in reviews for other high refresh LCD panels, including all-stars of the previous generation like the Viewsonic XG2401. Some degree of it is probably normal. I hadn't seen it before on my CFG70, but it honestly wouldn't surprise me if the pixel transitions on that panel were slow enough to hide it completely.

I don't know that I'd describe the extent to which I experience it a defect, but perhaps I'm just less sensitive to it than others.
I have both cfg70 and the new LG, and on the LG I saw that problem only when scrolling text, maybe ingame is very little smeary on some colours, but the sensation of 240 hz with MBR enabled is like a drug....(the eyes say thanks too).
The problem is that the games I play have so bad Netcode and high upload rate that the fluidity of 240 hz is not well rewarded, so I don't know if keep it or not for the moment.
I wish to have this 240 hz beauty with a curved display.... I heard they are coming later this year according to TFT Central's roadmap.

There are already some lower-scale resolutions you can find in CRU, find an appropriate one with 240hz and modify its Vertcal total up to 1582 or 640mz dotclock (which limits you first).

A curved TN seems interesting. A 27" screen is definitely large enough that if you sit even a moderate distance away, the left and right most edges of the screen shift in color. A gentle curve would help alleviate that, without requiring you to sit a little farther away if you want more consistent colors.

Pros seem to complain about the curve interfering with their muscle memory, so I don't know if it'll ever take off, though.

Anyone checked how is gamma degradation on this monitor? I mean - does it look worse at 120/240 than 60hz?
Just pop out black screen, look for bleeding/imperfections. Then switch to 120/240 and black could get worse as contrast and colors. This is what happens on my LG 24gm79g. It looks great on 60hz but poor at 120/144

According to my colorimeter, gamma is a very nice 2.24 before calibration -- at 240hz in gamma mode 4.

Slightly higher than 2.2 gamma is actually perfect for a monitor like this, to help counteract the washed out look at bottom of screen due to TN viewing angles (vertical gamma shift).

Really interesting. So not all tn high refresh rate monitors do this. Maybe it was only an issue with 23,8" panels then (the gamma degradation and blb with raising hz).

There is slight difference in perceived gamma curve when going down refresh rates, but nowhere near as severe as my old HFR monitor (XG2401). Difference between 240hz and 60hz on this LG monitor is very minor, with 60hz looking like around 2.3 gamma (where 240hz is 2.24).

After using this monitor for a few days, I'm much less impressed than I was with my day one, fresh out of the box experience. I've revised my "review" accordingly. I don't know if I just got a bad panel, or if my anecdotes represent the typical user experience. The hunt for a suitable replacement begins.

Hey!

Alright so based on this thread I bought the LG 27GK750G-B and YES, the 27" 240hz with blur reduction is awesome.
I'm using the FPS Profile #2 right now which sets everything up automatically... and it seems fairly decent for games (while desktop usage isn't great).

So my question is, what is the ultimate setup for this monitor now?

I saw CRU adjustments on the previous page (I tested them out) and saw no difference. Am I missing something here? Is there a way to improve the experience of running motion reduction at 240hz ?

I'm feeling a little confused in spite of having read a bunch of pages on this thread (sadly not all 27 pages though).
