And it has a firmware update through the OnScreen control software and its input lag results are way better with new firmware. Gonna check if 27GK750F-B may receive the same kind of an update http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/lg_ ... m#firmware
Maybe they finally will fix that stuttering/frameskipping issue it has at defaults.
hm. regarding the possibility of upgrading the firmware, isn't it weird that many ppl here have different firmware versions, but LG's tool OnScreen Control doesn't say anything about upgrades? Or in my case, which have a very old firmware, shouldn't OnScreen Control notify me about the upgrades?
i'm not very confident that a firmware update is going to be released for this monitor..

A user-friendly firmware update would be great news!
LG could redeem themselves by doing what other manufacturers don't.
(Which is a real shame btw...having to order and send back, let's say a Benq monitor from 5 different shops, just so you could get one with the latest firmware is a huge hassle, because shops won't tell you what it has, or they will falsely claim that it has the latest version... Plus most of the time all the shops in my country have samples from the same batch.
Not to mention that if you find a good used deal for a monitor, chances are it has the older FW.
...and I'm not going to go thru the complicated and risky process of upgrading it myself.
Monitor FW updates should be as easy as MOBO BIOS ones.)

There is no ready-to-go firmware update through OnScreen control atm. But as we can see the user-friendly sequence of updating monitor's firmware is enabled through this software for at least one monitor model.

I beleive if many people complain about this monitor current flaws, such as stuttering issue when it is running at 239,759Hz instead of 239,760 and is getting 239,759 at defaults, and its input lag in default Full wide and also 1:1 mode is way higher then in Original aspect mode, LG may also release a firmware to update on a user's end, the subject monitor also has USB connectivity and the cable is also provided just like the with 34" one.

Do LG have a support forum, perhaps we should start a thread there.

i'de say, lets unite. one of us create a thread there, describing the issues, than then ppl reply "i also have this problem, firmware version xxx". maybe this way they invest in releasing new firmware. maybe you k2viper, start such a thread, and inform us here?
thx!

Doesn't seem like it and contacting them directly is useless as the indian customer support doesn't understand anything, seems like our best bet would be to find forum/Reddit sub with LG representatives.

I made a post

Feel free to add your opinions, hopefully we may force LG to make something.

Done!

[For what it's worth, my revision does not have the issue. However it would still be nice to have an updated firmware that could resolve the issues for others and add more flexibility to an otherwise great monitor]
